Claims despite 'adoption' by Indonesian stepfather, it is U.S. 'law' that matters
A statement from Barack Obama's half-sister has at least cast a shadow of doubt on the legitimacy of the "Certificate of Live Birth" document that was released by the White House this week in an attempt to stifle questions about his eligibility, by referencing his apparent adoption by her father, Indonesian Lolo Soetoro.
On a Facebook page, Maya Soetoro-Ng wrote to a woman who had met her in Hawaii after Madelyn Dunham, the mother of Stanley Ann Dunham Obama Soetoro and grandmother to both Maya and Barack, passed away in 2008.

Soetoro-Ng was objecting to having a conversation with a critic of her half-brother, and said she had been misquoted as saying her whole family was Muslim.
She wrote, "I did not say my brother was a Muslim. I did say that I was more philosophically Buddhist. I told you that you were upsetting me. You said that you were not trying to upset me but wanted to know the truth about (Raila) Odinga (a Muslim for whom Barack Obama campaigned in the 2007 presidential race in Kenya). I told you I didn't know who that was and had never met him. You mentioned the adoption laws of Indonesia that you saw as related to my brother's legitimacy (you were suggesting that because my father, his stepfather, had adopted him, that my brother was no longer American) and I said that I had no idea about Indonesian adoption law."

I can’t see how someone who was born American, then adopted by a foreigner, would no longer be American.
This is turning into a Gordian knot of conflicting data. Time to flush out the Augean stables.
If Barry Soetoro wanted to renounce his citizenship, he may need to do it three times: US, UK, and Indonesian.
My guess is this is the reason he can’t show the real BC or any of his other records. It would show his legal name is not Obama and he’s been a fraud since he started using the name Obama.
Indonesia at the time Barry Soetoro (aka Barak Obama) lived there allowed dual citizenship for children until age 19.
Barry Soetoro and his boyfriend, Chandoo, traveled to Pakistan in 1981. So what passport did the 20 year old Barry Soetoro use?
To leap forward a few years, Senator Barak Obama was quoted as stating that until he arrived in the U.S. Congress he had never had a passport.
What passport did Barry Soetoro use as an adult if Barak Obama said he had never had one.
Be assured, they retain their American citizenship. It makes no difference that Indonesia, for example, doesn't recognize it. Only that the U.S. recognizes the child's birthright.
Which is precisely why it should have been nipped in the bud, before the smokescreen was allowed to build. In theory, the media and his democrat primary opponents should have pushed this issue until resolved, but of course that was not going to happen (although I will credit Phil Berg with being the only one to give it a try). Barring that, the McCain campaign should have insisted that this be satisfactorily resolved. Knowing the dems and the media would be complicit, it was McCain's duty to run this rabbit down, and he epically failed his nation.
I believe that the dual nationality until age 18 has only been allowed since ~2007. I have lived in Indonesia for 27 years, and have four children here. None were allowed dual citizenship before 2007.
At least the Don rode alone... these birthers are dragging us with them.

Problem here is the Birth certificate is now considered fraudulent. When adopted, an amendment should be placed on your birth certificate. I see no amendment notations! Did he legally change his name back? Again, no amendments!

McCain also had problems. That is why Republican Tom Coburn co-sponsored Sen. McCaskill’s bills (D-MO). Both parties threw the Constitution overboard in their frenzied attempt to become eligible.
Actually, I don’t think his real name at the time of his birth was Barry Soetoro. His mom wasn’t married to his adoptive father at that time. Its possible his given name was Barry Obama, or Barry Dunham,if she didn’t know who his father was.

By releasing this birth certificate, it is now obvious that there was a conspiracy to make Obama eligible. The birth certificate ACCEPTED BY THE ADMINISTRATION as true (this time) shows that Obama cannot be a natural-born citizen because Obama Sr. was a British/Kenyan citizen at the time of Obama Jrs. birth. Both parents have to be US citizens at the time of Obama Jrs. birth.
The conspiracy took place in the Senate Judiciary when Claire McCaskill got SR 511 passed saying McCain was eligible and Obama “...Whereas previous presidential candidates were born outside of the USA and were understood to be eligible to be President: and..” was “allowed” to be eligible. All who voted for SR 511 violated the Constitutional requirement to be President.
The question is NOW will anyone step up and admit their treasonous behavior and correct the situation. So far no one has the courage and integrity to do so, least of all the one who knew he was destroying our country—Obama.
I wouldn’t take seriously anything posted on Facebook. For all we know, “Maya Soetoro-Ng” could be an imposter. Facebook makes no effort to require registrants to prove they are the people they claim to be. When Maya Soetoro-Ng publishes an article on any serious news site, I will take note.
I agree, but this time Obama has boxed himself in by publicly acknowledging this birth certificate as the true one. Names, dates, parents, etc. He can’t back out now. Everything on it is fair game. See # 17.

But you are wrong about what constitutes an NBC. It’s not settled.
All you have to do is listen to oral arguments in Nguyen to see that.
Lolo Soetoro and Stanley Ann were living in Jakarta (1965-1971) during a dictatorship, when the nation was a police state.
Anti-Americanism was widespread and their son was registered to attend public school.
The school registration, a copy of which I saw back in the summer of 2008, stated that the boy was Barry Soetoro, his father was Lolo Soetoro, the boy was Muslim and an Indonesian citizen.
To prove the above, Lolo would have had to provide identification. In the U.S., school districts require birth certificates. I assume Indonesia would have required the same or an equivalent.
If what you say is true, then Barry Soetoro had Indonesian citizenship and a passport. It is known that he traveled between Indonesia and Hawaii a few times, and it wasn’t on his mother’s passport as documents from the State Department show he was removed after 1965.

The school registration did, indeed, state all that you posit, and BS was , somehow, regarded as an Indonesian citizen. It would have taken a bit of doing to secure for BS the Indon citizenship, but, then as now, with properly placed funds, you can do anything here. Further, ol’ Lolo had a gubmint job, which presumably greased the ways.
As posted several times previously in this forum, I tried to do a bit of sleuthing re: these matters back in ‘09 through aquaintences in the Imigrasi, but was told that all had been scrubbed in 2007 by some visiting Yanks.
And yet, so many American politicians gave him a pass on the BC issue. Isn’t it time that they undergo a thorough investigation as to the reason of their lackadaisical attitude?

He was listed on Lolo and Ann’s divorce as a college student. He wouldn’t have been listed, especially at that age, if he weren’t legally bound to Lolo.
Oh, puleez! Uncle McLame was pimping for the usurper in his "you don't have to be afraid of him" speeches. The entire GOP campaign was a farce. McCain wasn't any more eligible than the usurper is. For that matter, the next largest vote getting ticket was Nader and Gonzalez and Gonzalez wasn't eligible either. The whole election was a farce.

Ignoring the NBC clause?
The SR511 committee members and Chertoff all agreed that NBC meant TWO US CITIZEN PARENTS. Granted, they threw out the born on US soil, but the usurper signed his name to it in agreement of the parents, with an “s”, meaning. Right there he tied himself into it and there’s no wiggle room to dance a little sidestep to get out of the meaning. With him claiming this newly released document as his real bc (fake or not, he claims ownership of it) and it lists a foreign father then he just admitted to the world he’s not eligible. Kezia stated in an interview that there was no civil ceremony. If there wasn’t a civil ceremony, then it can’t have been recorded. Kenya might accept jumping the broom marriages but the US courts like to have documents as proof. Either way, this current piece of paper (for whatever it’s worth) states Sr. is the papa and Hussein has always claimed he was. The US Constitution doesn’t say anything about the parents’ marriage status, just that the POTUS be a NBC.

It all goes back to the fact that Obama was not elected, he was selected (by the back room powers) to be president. The sheer shock of his elevation to such prominence as the economy began to wane, obliterated all the immediate questions and mystery of his background and criteria.
And of course the MSM bought into all of it, especially the MSM suits who were likely promised wondrous things to be complicit.
He was selected to do what his shadow government could not overtly accomplish, though I believe it was their intent to inflict as much socialism on this country as possible before voters wised up and ejected him in the 2012 election.

Perhaps the reason the Republican leadership has been running away from the certifigate issue is because by accusing Obama of not being a NBC they expose themselves to accusations of being racist by way of comparison how they treated McCain (a white non-NBC who was nevertheless permitted to run).
Credit where credit is due: it seems that Obama’s “McCain the campaign” may be having the side effect of strategically inoculating Obama himself to charges from Republicans of not being a NBC later on.
Your arguments are wrong on so many levels.
There is no definition of NBC other than the strictest and that doesn’t mean it is the ONLY ONE. If you listen to the oral arguments you will see SCOTUS differs on their views.
Therefore it is not settled law.
Sr’s marriage status is most relevant depending on what argument you are trying to use to say he is ineligible.
If all you are arguing is that both parents must be US citizens then their marriage is not relevant BUT THE LAW IS STILL NOT DECIDED.
IF you try to argue - as many are doing - that Obama was born a British citizen then Sr’s marriage status is most relevant.
Look at the timeline of those immigration documents and what was said when.
There are a lot of things fishy with this story.

Furthermore, tribal marriages WERE RECOGNIZED BY BRITISH LAW. No document needed.

Also...It is possible that his mother and adoptive father renounced his American citizenship. At this point Obama would need to re-establish this citizenship as an adult. Did he do that if necessary?
And....What passports did Obama use to travel?
I’d love to see his college applications / financial aid forms. That might be one answer to your question.
