The Spring Revolution By Ari Bussel
Not much information is allowed out of Syria, other than pronunciations that “foreign elements are at work and must be quashed, while anyone peacefully protesting is protected.” Syria is launching an independent investigation as to the events unfolding, mimicking the UN inquiry. The results of both could not be further apart, teaching that the best defense is a good offense.
Yesterday, a headline in an Israeli newspaper quoted a Syrian protestor calling for Israel to conquer Syria. The End of Days, a Syrian revolutionary looking for salvation from Israel? Clearly, no Arab is afraid that Israel might conquer other lands, for they know no harm will then befall them. Israel remains the one beacon of sanity in the Middle East that even an Arab can respect.
Israel, often called a “Colonialist, Imperialist, Zionist Regime,” has no expansionary plans. Quite the contrary, all indications are that she is moving toward giving away land to enemies bent on her very extermination.
That is quite a difference—Hitler looked at the map and decided to liberate Austria, and Poland, and the Czech Republic. Then, he moved onto the rest of Europe and the entire World. Today, anyone looking at a map of the Middle East does not really know what tomorrow may bring or who is instigating the Spring Revolution: The “youth,” Iran or the USA. While there may be other powers at work, Ahmadinejad, like Hitler, is determined to rid the world of Jews and to expand Iran’s rule globally.
Interestingly, President Obama, after dumping President Mubarak of Egypt and close to getting the USA into a war by activating CIA agents in Libya and attacking the Libyan nation with missiles, has decided to turn his attention elsewhere. He loses interest quickly in those things he cannot accomplish immediately and claim credit for. His favorite pastimes are those that provide him instant gratification, like winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
Apparently, the Syrian bloodbath is an insufficient cause for American involvement. After all, stopping all means of communication, cutting off water and electricity to rebelling cities, using tanks, artillery and missiles against civilians and sharpshooters to send messages during funerals (“dare not continue your protests, here you and you and you are dead just for show”) is apparently acceptable when the perpetrator is a member of the Axis of Evil.
Compared with Syria’s actions, President Mubarak’s handling of the protests that grappled his country with the aid and encouragement of Egypt’s long time ally, the USA, was the height of what true leadership is about, an example of honor and valor to the dire end. In the historical chronicles of his country all current noise will disappear and the shamed and convicted President Mubarak will probably be remembered as a true patriot.
In Syria, the bloodbath continues. Turning a blind eye to the plight of the Syrian people, President Obama now busies himself with Turkey, the new “HOPE” of his Administration. It is Turkey that will save the situation (possibly moments before it surrenders to Iran).
The Middle East is at one moment before a complete breakdown, when processes will become unstoppable. If Syria falls, an event that seems unlikely at the moment, then Iran has accomplished the following goal: expansion via Iraq all the way to Israel’s border in the Golan Heights and the Mediterranean after entering Lebanon.
Thus, there will be Turkey as a barrier between the West and Iran, and the next goal by the Islamic Republic will be implemented: Taking over the Holy Places in Saudi Arabia, and conquering the Arabian Peninsula, Qatar, UAE, Yemen, etc. and from there expanding to Egypt and beyond, along the Northern shores of Africa, Libya, Algeria and Morocco, then southwards from each of these countries deep into Africa.
The Octopus is alive and expanding its reach.
There is still one beacon of stability in the midst of these raging waters: Israel.
Turkey trying to regain its former glory will not stand a chance against Iran. Despite any closeness to the West, Turkey’s collapse will astonish everyone, except the Iranians.
Thus, only one tiny obstacle to world dominance will remain, the Jewish Zionist entity in the State of Israel. Deeply rooted in their land, they stubbornly refuse to budge despite awful storms raging all around them.
I have advocated for some time now that the Arab nations, out of concern for their own wellbeing, should raise a mega-fund, “a Fund to Protect Israel.” Without Israel, Saudi Arabia may find itself attacked from the north and conquered. Without Israel, Egypt may soon become a Muslim Brotherhood-type of an Islamic State. Without Israel, no one will dare stand in Iran’s bloody path. The United States has already proven that point.
Another positive scenario—for the people of the region—would be if Israel were to conquer Syria and embark on a rebuilding campaign. Advancing the Syrian agriculture, rebuilding its water infrastructure, strengthening the trade and trust between the nations and their people and changing the educational system that up to now has described Jews as evil.
Peace with Syria has always been possible, and in practice there is both bilateral trade and many commonalities between the two countries. If only …
We have witnessed history in the making since the beginning of 2011. Change has accelerated, devouring the region like an avalanche. What seemed impossible yesterday is today’s new reality. Thus, I will not rule out any of the above scenarios as possible.
I would, however, rule out with any certainty that steps that could be taken will indeed be initiated: Israel is not looking toward conquering Syria, and the Arab world may secretly wish that Israel remain momentarily strong (as long as she is needed to serve their purposes as a reliable and possibly the only cushion against Iran) but will not actually lift a finger to assist Israel in the task.
Eventually, Israel and Iran must face each other. But in the short run, many things can happen. For instance, Syria’s Assad may feel threatened and in last minute desperation order an attack on Israel. Or the Palestinians may reach a boiling point, when they are no longer the focus of the world’s attention. Left behind simply because more interesting things are shaping up or other people are actually victims of brutality the likes of which the Western World detests.
The Palestinians could then light a fire of their own, not the usual blaze where they burn Israeli products or butcher Israelis only because they are Jews, but embark on an all out attack against Israel.
They will find the right way to cover their actions and blame Israel of course. If Israel finds herself with no other alternative but to react (for instance, after a Palestinian “freedom fighter” murders dozens of children or one of their missiles hits an airplane with hundreds of innocent people onboard or disrupting the 24/7 way of life in Tel Aviv), then the Palestinian PR machine and the world’s soft spot for the eternal “Victim” would turn attention back on them, ensuring the flow of funding and a wave of pity they have missed for a few months.
Teetering on the verge of a cataclysm that will redefine the 21st Century and beyond, we must evaluate the situation and engage in preventive steps. In technical jargon, a strategy has to be determined and we must implement and engage in the necessary tactics toward achieving the goals.
What we have seen thus far is a world reluctant to engage the real perpetrators—Iran, Syria, etc.—and be content turning its back on its allies—Egypt, Israel, etc.
Such cowardly actions heap more hatred upon the West. Why should CIA agents meddle in Libya? Why did President Obama desert President Mubarak? What good is turning to Turkey for advice and guidance when she is nothing but a shadow of her imperialistic past and is herself quashing the Kurds?
I feel as if I am standing on a merry-go-round at an amusement park, my head spinning uncontrollably and I am losing any grip on reality as the horses accelerate ever further. My hand stretches to hold the iron bar, the only fixed element in a world going round ‘n around. This Iron bar is Israel, for there is nothing else at all stable in the Middle East.
The world is self-impregnated with a thousand and one Arabian stories, immersed in deceit and lies and the devil will soon rear his head to the world’s utter surprise and astonishment. Still, we continue to live our daily lives expecting a continuation of the status quo. Oh, what a surprise is in store for us all!

The coalition against Iran will include Israel and all the GCC states. It may include Iraq. It may include Jordan and probably Egypt.
The modern Arab world will not tolerate the mullahs.
