A friend of mine, an American, married into a wealthy Indian family with business operations around the world. The patriarch has numerous sons and daughters. He bought a nice condo on the beach in Florida and sends his daughters and daughters-in-law to the condo when they’re in their fifth month of pregnancy. They have the baby in America so the baby can have American citizenship. He has done this a couple of dozen times. The patriarch considers American citizenship as valuable as “your weight in gold.”
