President Obama has endured entertainment industry criticism over the last few years for requesting premium broadcast air time for making speeches. But Sunday night’s abrupt and unexpected interruption is unlikely to draw any complaints.
Multiple news organizations are reporting that the White House is set to announce that, at last, Osama bin Laden is dead. ABC, CBS and NBC have cut away from scheduled programming to cover this enormous news.
With all the back and forth between President Obama and Donald Trump in recent weeks, Twitter flared up with amused conspiracy theories when NBC News cut away from Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice on the East Coast to carry the announcement.

I am vaguely ticked because they interrupted CSI Miami, the one program I like on that channel. And haven’t said when they will show the last 15 minutes, when we find out who dunnit.

I’m telling my husband that it’s too weird to do this on a Sunday night. I don’t watch much TV, so I didn’t know that Trump’s show was on. Now, it makes all the sense in the world.
I was watching csi also. Have to catch it online. President Bush would have just let the news report it and thanked the Military.

Saw Moochelle Obama and Joe Bidens wife singing the praises of our military in a commercial today....strange timing. Zero glorified himself in the speech and noted that we are not at war with Islam but with Al Qaeda...even said the pledge and included “One nation under God” in his wording. He will politicize this to the nth degree.
The news did interupt Trump way early...lol...the last minute when the elimination was being announced and Obama stalled making his grand appearance

Meanwhile members of the “news” media are just euphoric. I suspect if Bush or McCain were president now this thing would be downplayed and we would be told not to gloat so much.

On television, O'Bambi had that trademark smirk plastered across his mug. He stumbled and fumbled several times. Of course, the _resident used the non-standard pronunciation of POK-ee-stahn when referring to Pakistan. He tried to appeal like royalty by walking a red carpet to the podium.
There's was nothing even remotely Presidential in tonight's address.

The TV news talking heads had to stall us for 30 minutes as Omama waited for his writers to do and put up his announcement on acting-President TelaPrompter. The stall dribbled out the relevant facts which were going around the Internet on Twitter, so by the time Omama came out and took credit for the event, we had heard the details now available.
Obama could have waited till Monday night because OBL has been supposedly dead for a week, but he purposely interrupted the Donald’s show.
Well its a heck of an Obama campaign kick off. He is going to get brownie points up the wazoo for this. Lets hope it wears off before the election. Barry will run on this night and day.
That’s exactly how it was when they got Saddam. It was treated as a “Oh? They got him? That’s nice” moment. If Saddam had been captured during Obama’s mis-administration, the story would have been bigger.

This shows how much Trump is getting under Obama’s skin. He bashed Trump at the media thing the other night, then interrupts The Donald’s highly rated TV show. He’s showing The Donald who’s boss.
This couldnt have come at a better time. The American people have a short memory and this will lose its importance in a few weeks. What they wont forget though, is what is left in their wallets after they fill up at the gas stations.
