McCain commends Obama on bin Laden (McCain gives Obama credit)
Politico ^ | 2011-05-01

Sen. John McCain, a Senate hawk and President Barack Obama's GOP opponent in the 2008 election, praised the president Sunday night for approving a military raid that took out Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

McCain was briefed on the news by Defense Secretary Robert Gates before Obama's address.

“I am overjoyed that we finally got the world's top terrorist," McCain said in a statement. "The world is a better and more just place now that Osama bin Laden is no longer in it. I hope the families of the victims of the September 11th attacks will sleep easier tonight and every night hence knowing that justice has been done. I commend the President and his team, as well as our men and women in uniform and our intelligence professionals, for this superb achievement."

McCain is the village idiot. The military and CIA deserve credit. Obama just gives a final OK. Give credit where credit is do. He is a leftist wolf in sheep’s clothing. I have been convinced for over a decade.

What?? Was Obama there in pink camos and a Lady Smith and Wesson?

Of course, McLame always said he’d make a good president.

I can't handle the stupidity of some any longer. Moreso, since we pay their salaries. One thing - the victims are dead! It should read the families of the victims - and with the Marxist at the wheel, no American citizen can sleep well any night. $50 head of lettuce McCain, you never fail to amaze.

McCain is a spiteful, little man. He always hated George W. Bush and now his true feelings are coming to light.

IMHO, without the commitment of GWB and his support of our Military and Intelligence Community this would have never happened.

Job well done to our Troops and our Intelligence Community - and thank you for taking OBL Dead, not alive.

Why did it take 27 months of the Obama presidency to hunt Bin Laden down and kill him?

McCain has a real ‘thing’ for Obama. I think it might be Love. That's why he threw the election for him. How sweet.

I wonder if McCain sends Obama flowers on Valentine’s Day. It would not surprise me in the least.

Oh, they will brag they nailed him in 27 months while Bush could not do it in 7 years.

I... just... have not a single decent thing I can say here about John McCain.

Please, if you want to do the right thing, I ask of everyone who reads this:

Find a soldier or a sailor, and shake his hand. Give him a hug. Buy him a beer or a cup of coffee. Tell him you’re proud and that you pray for him and for all of the other soldiers. Thank a soldier or salior’s wife, while you’re at it.

Donate to veteran’s charities. Do whatever you can to let them know that they matter, that you’ll never forget, and that you appreciate them.

Those are the heroes who need to be thanked, recognized, and helped. Too damned bad McCain doesn’t know this and say this, because he should.

....McCain praised the president Sunday night for approving a military raid that took out Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

That's the saddest commentary I could imagine. To think that it's even necessary to praise a President for approving a military raid against a cold-blooded terrorist.

At the same time, it's a back-handed slap at Ubama's war-making philosophy which was to Mirandize terrorists and grant them legal representation and the right to be prosecuted under the auspices provided by The U.S. Constitution.

Am I the only one who remembers that DemocRATS were lining up to warn President Bush that the United States does not engage in assassinations when he said he wanted bin Laden dead or alive?

It does read, "families of the victims."

An email message from Lt. Col. Allen West:

Congressman West Statement on the U.S. Capture and Killing of Osama bin Laden

(WASHINGTON)-— Congressman Allen West (FL-22) released the following statement tonight:

“Congratulations to President Obama and his National Security Team for the capture and killing of the world’s most dangerous and evil criminal mastermind, Osama bin Laden.

Our appreciation and gratitude goes out to General Petreaus and the brave men and women in theater. Our Special Operations team executed a flawless, cross border operation, proving once again, our American Armed Forces are the most skilled, organized and highly trained forces in the world.

Although this is a time of exuberance, rejoicing and healing, America, as well as our allies, must be vigilant and on guard for retaliatory attacks from the extreme Islamic world. What strongly concerns me is that bin Laden was not found hiding in a remote cave, but in an urban area of Pakistan where the Pakistan Army’s premier training institution operates. This is a war that is no where close to being over.”

Maybe Barry will let Juan kiss his feet tomorrow. I’ll stick with giving the credit to the CIA and the military special ops guys. Greta and Whoraldo can’t control themselves trying to give Barry Soetoro all of the credit. It’s pretty sickening.
