Barbara was a truly wonderful person. We were regular email correspondents. At the time, I was living in Chappaqua, right next door to the Clintons, and I would regularly post threads on FR..”Report from Chappaqua” She enjoyed them, and Freepmailed me, and we became friends. In 2001, her latest ( and, sadly, last book) on Hillary had just come out, and we we working on trying to get her an “author’s night” at the Chappaqua Public Library in the fall..it would have been a sensation....the library board was opposed to the idea, but I was in there plugging away..Barbara was realling looking forward to it....we’d talked about finally meeting in person the next time she was going to be in NYC..and then sadly...that awful day.

You have wonderful, bitter sweet memories. Her death was tragic, sad and horrific. Her death brought it home to a lot of us who didn't know anybody else who was murdered that day.

I'm happy that monster was killed up close and personal by our Navy Seals. Happy he knew who *got him*.

May God Bless and Keep You, my dear FRiend.
