The details of the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound have changed a bit from last night to this morning to this afternoon. Contradicting yesterday's reports from Deputy National Security Advisor John Brennan, White House spokesman Jay Carney said today that Bin Laden was not armed when U.S. commandos raided his compound. He also said that it was "unclear" whether anybody had used a woman as a human shield, as Bin Laden was originally reported to have done.
At a briefing for television reporters on Monday night, one official told Politico's John Gerstein that, "a different guy's wife was killed," but nobody had been used as a human shield. Carney today said one woman had been killed in the crossfire as troops stormed the building that held Bin Laden. "The U.S. team found bin Laden in a room with one of his wives on one of the upper floors, Carney said. Bin Laden's wife rushed the U.S. commandos, and was shot in leg but not killed, he said. Bin Laden resisted and was shot and killed, Carney said." He didn't describe how Bin Laden had resisted, but said, "I think resistance does not require a firearm." Brennan had previously suggested Bin Laden had participated in a firefight.

He’s dead Jim. Whether he died at Tora Bora and we feel confident to no longer use him for cover or he died in 2011, you don’t go this public with his death and leave open the slightest possibility of his return.
A FRESH dead body of Osama Bin Laden would mean he was killed in a raid. And they conveniently disposed of the body/evidence. DNA samples are just that.
OBL is dead. No need to speculate otherwise. But I will call out the press for their shifting sands yellow journalism.
What if the Pakistani gov’t had him under house arrest and effectively neutralized?
Think about it. It would explain an awful lot. It would make sense from the Pakistani point of view ... to enable them to walk the line, so to speak. If this is the case, makes you wonder about our knowledge, timing, motivation. Also, it would explain why he was not particularly armed.

Several things to consider, IF Pakistan held him under house arrest, they (A) would be putting themselves at risk of possible terrorist attack (and their government has its fifth columnists) but (B) they may have been holding him to barter from something big from Uncle Sam.
One other thing I haven’t heard discussed. I’ve heard liberal denouncing Bush for letting Osama get away all this time. We hadn’t won. Yadda yadda yadda. How many more attacks did OBL mastermind or finance? What has his fingerprints on it since he went into hiding? KSM spilled the beans on some plans and we successfully thwarted them.

The media stated the facial recognition and DNA testing was done at a US base in Afghanistan.
If you are correct. That the testing, samples, photos, etc were done by the Seals while at the compound, then there is no way the body was in the air until well after 5pm EST.
Why then does the body go NW some 200+ miles by chopper to a US base in Afghanistan, then go 1000 miles South by chopper to a US ship in, if we go by your claim, is now well less than 8 hours? All I’m asking is why the rush? I’m not talking UFO’s or grand conspiracies, just how...and why..all that was done in less than 8 hrs.

In an account whose details other officials confirmed, Senate Intelligence Committee chairwoman Dianne Feinstein said: “I know what I’ve been told, which was that the temperature was 17 degrees higher than anticipated, and based on the temperature, and the load in the helicopter, the helicopter began to descend, and so it was a kind of controlled but hard landing.”
Other officials said the landing was hard enough to disable the helicopter which the U.S. team destroyed. The second Blackhawk then made an unscheduled landing and the raiders later piled into that aircraft and two Chinook helicopters which had flown in as backup when the mission was over.”

What chopper has a 1000 mile range?
The latest is that they accidentally tripped over the cord to Osama’s Dialisis Machine and accidentally pulled his Catheter out. He actually didn’t get shot but one of the SEALs gave him a pretty bad cold.
Putting my unbelieving aside, what scares me is that this administration is so stupid that they will reveal the identity of the SEALS... and the SEALS will be punished.
To some extent, I wish OBL was left alone.
The victims should have been sent a questionaire as to how they would have wanted OBL taken care of. It seems these people had no say. BTW, my uncle was in the North building. (Truly, when I heard OBL was dumped in the sea, I thought it was a joke. I was shocked to find out it was true.) Soetoro cares more for the murderer than for the murdered.
