Sources: Clinton rebukes Carter
May 04, 2011
After not being able to meet with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak or North Korean leader Kim Jong-il during his trip to the Korean Peninsula last month, it seems that former U.S. President Jimmy Carter will also not be able to debrief U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in person, South Korean diplomatic officials reported yesterday.
According to the officials, when Clinton was asked on April 29 whether she planned to meet with Carter to discuss his recent trip to North Korea, she gave a tentative no. After some consideration, she reportedly said, Hell, no!
Security analysts had expected Clinton to meet with Carter after his return to the United States. Carter had met with Clinton last year after his previous visit to Pyongyang in August. During that trip, Carter had succeeded in bringing home an American that had been detained in North Korea. The Council of Elders is an international nonprofit consisting of 12 elder statesmen and peace activists. Three members of the council, all former European leaders, joined Carter on his trip.

P!
I dislike Hitlery 95% of the time. But I have to say this is one of the moments of the 5% where I like what she does... ;-)
Hopefully Carter will end his post-presidential hobby of visiting the dictators in charge of the world’s various Hell-holes and then explaining to us how we are responsible for it.
I’d say his age also minimizes the chances of any future trips.
A fitting symbol for him:
