Today a radio announcer at a Dallas radio stationed announced that they had discovred and named the Marine Commander of the Seals that found and removed bin Laden. They also reported that he was a San Antonio native! Whoopee now Al Quaida has a name and location and the family and friends that they can target in retribution.

While in the Air Force I had a Top Secret SIOP ESI Clearance and access. This is the same level as the President and Congress. You should only discloess information on a need to know basis and only to those who have a need. TV and radio pundits need to ZIP THEIR LIPS!

This is what comes of the failure to prosecute leakers and the media. When the NYT revealed the “warrantless wiretaps” and the bank surveillance programs, no one inside or outside the government was prosecuted, though they all could and should have been.

What it does is Kill Sources and sometimes quite literally.

The Obama administration wants the United States reduced in world stature. This will do it.

I understand your point BUT you just alerted everyone WORLD WIDE here on FR that they can start by looking in San Antonio and check with the Dallas radio station for the guys name. Not helpfull. Just because it is already out there is NO EXCUSE to further promote it. Neither confirm nor deny. Bringing further attention to it only further jeopardizes his family.

The radio announcer should be named, his address given out, he should be immediately fired and when any harm befalls the Seal officer or his family, he should be hung by his thumbs from a lampost on the nearest bridge....a la some of our hostages.

Who has his name and radio station and the station's address and/or email addy?

It was late 2001 and Senator Leahy revelaed that we need not worry since a secret satellie tracking system was tracking bin Laden's cell phone. After that Walmat Cellphones became the cell phone of choice since they could use it for 48 hours and then throw it away.

Once the info is revealed it's not a SECRET. I would hope that each and every patriotic FREEPER would encourage our congress critters and news people to be careful!

[ PROTECTING STATE secrets and safeguarding national security are paramount. ]

There IS NO National Security when the Commander in Chief is a Marxist(or a bag of terms) performing sedition daily...
AND half or more of Congress are Traitors..

This warning is for a different time and place..
Whats needed is those in Top Secret positions to LEAK damaging information on the domestic malefactors..

Why is George Soros NOT BEING investigated?..
AND ALL of his "minions" being vetted and exposed?..
EXCEPT BY GLEN BECK.. only, uniquely alone and targeted by THEM..

And the FBI, CIA, NSA and ALL other U.S. security apparatus ignorant of George Soros treasonous activities and/or COMPLICIT in them..

All the while treating the Mexican border like a State problem while actively trying to "Hamstring" any State efforts to deal with the National border..

There is much more on NATIONAL SECURITY.. if there is any of it left to be hyperventilating about.. National security is obviously being scrapped for global security.. for a global something or other..

Th government works for us. We pay them. And if the enemy seek out the hero for destruction, it is our civic duty to stop them, and to make sure every Muslim terrorist freak in our nation is deported.

Let them bring it!

Can’t happen. In the case of warrantless wiretaps, or any crime for that matter, the leaker is protected by whistleblower laws. You can’t be compelled to keep a crime a secret, that would make you an accessory.

Two points contradict your position.

1.) There. Was. No. Crime. NONE.

2.) “Whistle blowing” does not compel one to turn first to the New York Times, especially if the material is classified. The correct thing to do is work within the chain of command, the inspector-general, if the chain of command is ineffective. If this fails, an ethical person would *resign* before divulging any classified information. There is not evidence that the “whistle blower” ever tried to work within the chain of command. He was just a little shit stroking his own ego by playing hero.

I remember it differently. Russel Tice did try the chain of command first, and even requested to testify before one of the intelligence committees, which one I don’t remember. There is good reason that Tice was never prosecuted. The administration didn’t have a leg to stand on if it went to court.
