For what it is worth:

I think that Evita didn't do herself any good in the maladroit handling statements about Pakistan. If she needed any kind of a boost out of this whole thing, she didn't get it. She looks and sounds as lame as ever.

Will not have an effect.

While it’s great that Obama pulled the trigger on the mission to get Bin Laden, those who oppose virtually everything else Obama has done as president will NOT consider voting for him just because he got Bin Laden.

And for moderate/swing voters, the state of the economy will have much more impact than the fact that Obama got Bin Laden a year and a half before election day.

Liberals will vote for Obama no matter what. Even those liberals who were shocked, just shocked, at celebrations of Bin Laden’s death.

No, unless there are widespread or severe retaliatory strikes, especially in the US.

Did you see the unemployment numbers today? OBL will be a distant memory in a couple weeks.

I do see Hollywood making a movie for release a month before the Nov election about the OBL take down making Obummer look like Dirty Harry though.

No. We are living in the American Idol, 24/7 news cycle and most people will forget this. I hate polls but when most people give credit to Bush and the military over Odumbo, it can be viewed as a “good” sign. Plus, whomever can ‘swift boat” the opposition in the final 3 months and make the message stick, will win.

Obama will push it as a reason to re-elect him and, as he is now, “helpfully forget” to mention the system Bush put in place that he opposed when runnin in 2008. The people will be so pissed about the economy and gas prices by then though (I dont see much of a recovery, if things dont get worse even) they won’t care

No.

Sure it is a “Yeah US” moment but people are all ready starting to realize this has absolutely no effect on their day to day lives. Pretty soon they will back to worrying about their, and their kids futures.

I think that by Nov 2012 $4 a gal gas and food inflation will have the electorate in a good-and-pissed-off mood. Maybe Nov 2010 was just a warm up.

It depends on the economy in 2012. This will fade soon.

As long as the GOP nominates a competent, conservative authority figure, Obama will lose.

I don’t know who that candidate is yet. Col. Allen West would be great, but I don’t think he’s interested.

No effect at all. Everyone will eventually realize that the military and intelligence organizations deserve all the credit for years of hard work and unwavering persistence to get OBL.

Obama just happened to be President went it went down.

It doesn’t matter what happens in Nov 2012, since Dec 21, 2012 soon follows. Any victories we achieve will be short lived. /sarc off

There may be some negative political fallout for Obama.

He's still trying to have things both ways. He's the guy who was going to fight a clean war that honored our principles, a guy who would never consider snatching a terrorist, holding him in a secret prison and pouring water up his nose to induce cooperation. He's also the badass dude that had UBL hauled out of a cozy bed and summarily shot. I'll bet the voters are going to have a hard time synthesizing those two pictures. Once the smoke clears, most people are going to look back on the UBL affair as further evidence that Obama is as phony as a three dollar bill. His eagerness to claim credit for the fruits of another man's labor isn't going to sit well.

That's a small part of the tsunami of problems that are likely to swamp Obama, but every little bit helps.

He might try to release photos, etc. on Sep 11, 2012 but it would have a neglible effect.

His incompetence, lies, and socialist agenda will have too many people unemployed, dying for lack of adequate medical care, pissed off with no fuel for their vehicles or to heat their homes, and the cost of everything will be off the charts. Even a terrorist retaliation attack will be blamed on him and that’s whether the dickless GOP ties him to it or not.
