I’ve been warning you that the current push to legitimize homosexual conduct and so-called gay “marriage” represents today’s greatest threat to religious liberty. I’ve told you about attacks against iPhone apps for the Manhattan Declaration and Exodus International, as well as a boycott of Chick-fil-a.
Their crime? Supporting marriage as only between a man and a woman and having the temerity to not support so-called gay “marriage.”
The Boy Scouts’ politically incorrect stands on homosexuality and atheism have long put this great organization in the extremists’ cross-hairs, and now the pressure is getting even more intense.
The Scouts prohibit open homosexuals from serving as leaders. That’s because the organization believes that “homosexual conduct is inconsistent with the obligations in the Scout Oath and Scout Law to be morally straight and clean in thought, word, and deed.”
How’s that for straight talking, friends?
But now, in the St. Louis area, parent associations working with the public schools are severing ties with local Scouting groups rather than face the risk of lawsuits alleging—you guessed it—discrimination based on sexual orientation.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, in March, the Missouri PTA advised all of its 420 member units to stop hosting charters with the Boy Scouts because the agreements put them in legal jeopardy.

The Boy Scouts need to get some Seal training.
I was mistreated and used by the local council BSA scout executive He used my salary to balance his budget. Instead of raising funds, they cut me to part time when they failed ro raise more money, they laid me off. Then the council president stood up in front of people and said ALL THEIR PROBLEMS are behind them after they laid me off. I was the lowest paid person and their problems are NOT over.
they do this all the time, just look at how they acted in CA when the people voted, look at the law firm which I hope goes bust, look at how they acted over don’t ask and then look at how they act when they are at their parades etc.

I’m the Cubmaster st the local elementary school, where the Principal is an avid supporter of scouting. It helps that her brother is the former US District Attorney under Bush and is now the Lt. Governor. Nice family.

The fact that most Rs and so-called “Conservative” talk people say nothing against the homo-nazi agenda means they either support it, they have skeletons of some sort in their closet, or they’re gutless cowards without principles.
I remember years ago Rush used to at least mention the homo-agenda although not with enough seriousness, then he dropped it altogether as though it didn’t exist. That was many years ago; I used to listen to him in the late 80s to early 90s and then very occasionally after that. I haevn’t heard him in years and don’t care to. Now I can’t get any radio so that’s fine with me.
That’s kind of how “for profit” businesses operate in the real world, though one could argue that the BSA executives collect profits in the form of salary, benefits and perks.

Sounds more like a lone individual abused you. This does nothing to discredit the BSA as an organization.
Scouting is a volunteer organization. If you love Scouting and are concerned, then call someone up and volunteer to attend any regular meetings that your chartering organization holds. It's a heck of a lot harder to ditch a friend than it is to cross off a line item, and trouble is much easier to deal with before it becomes a crisis. The world runs on relationships. Create them.

Being both a scout and a scoutmaster in the BSA for a time, even before the issue was brought up about membership, I will tell you that among the first things we teach new members who enter the main portion of the Boy Scouts (11-18 yrs old) is how to handle situations of child molesters, often situations where the person improperly treating you is often male (possibly female too). But the worst thing after you teach these rising scouts about dealing with these situations is accepting some person who is attracted to those of the same gender and admitted to the ranks, especially when the “boys” are actually adolescent and in their teens. We didn’t need the Catholic incident to really wake us up, it was already a concern when the leadership realized that: hey we teach about how to turn in a man to the authorities for touching you or treating you inappropriately, and yet offer someone who is professedly interested in young men to a group of adolescent boys should be around you in some of the most personal and often private matters, there is more privacy in the BSA than the military, but still less than in most of our personal lives.. It would have been totally contradictory to our own policy. The sad part is that now the BSA has more sense in it than the president of our nation does, Sadly enough.
