While I don’t think that’s totally without merit as an argument, I am still stuck with the fact that right now we’re seeing very little anger on the street across the Middle-East.

Isn’t that a good thing? Why press our luck by pushing the matter more, with shocking photos? What is better than no violence, the status now?

The violence can’t go down if there isn’t any. It can go up, way up.

They're quiet because they know this whole thing is a sham. They know OBL is a has-been, all washed up. He hasn't been critical to AQ's operations for years. In fact, AQ itself is on the outs.

The ascendent Islamist power is now the Muslim Brotherhood, and MB sold out OBL in exchange for Obama destabilizing Mubarak in Egypt and overthrowing Gadhafi in Libya, so that they can establish a new Caliphate in North Africa.
