Agreed and that is my point. In regards to the helicopter I have given that some thought. The wise approach would have been to have a somewhat high level Defense official announce that we are aware of the loss. "This is a loss that is going to happen during ongoing military operations." After that is denial and not another word. This operation could have been one of the easiest to compartmentalize even if it was a snatch instead of a tap.

Imagine all of the potential disinformation that could have been sown on the Jihadi websites. Instead they had to campaign on it. I am also very embarrassed.

That is probably not true. If it were, then all the billions of dollars spent with Lockheed, BAE, etc. for C3 systems by the Pentagon and CIA were wasted. The whole point of those systems is to feed real time data back to the commanders in the USA. IF they really did fail that's more significant news than the outcome of the mission itself.

I agree with every point you made. Our SEAL team was successful and our leadership failed them and America. You used a word that has been back of my mind since the “burial at sea” announcement. DISASTER. I have been avoiding that word, but their is no other way to view what this WH has done.

At this point, I think it entirely rational to at least have some healthy skepticism that our forces did anything in Pakistan at that compound. We have no evidence. Yes, we have seen part of a destroyed helicopter, and several dead people, but what evidence is there that those are what they are alleged to be? Without evidence, we are forced to take this administration’s allegations on faith only. I’m no longer prepared to do that.

Obama and his minions have every motive to take credit for killing OBL, whether or not they did. They also are discrediting our SEALS in the process, knowing the SEALS can’t violate their oaths. This situation is becoming truly alarming at this point.

I like it and very plausible considering the location of the Pakistani military headquarters. It also has the beauty of causing confusion in the ISI while giving them an out (while forcing their hands) with the muslim base.

The reason he had not been taken out is because of the satellite dish on the top of his house. We knew where he was. We knew who he was. We knew he had no phone or internet and that everything goes across that dish. I have no inside information on this but I have no doubt that we had been monitoring that dish for years. Monitoring the dish is the same or better than having Osama.
