I hate to say this but liberalism is almost a “religion”. It is based on a “faith” or ideology that isn’t questioned. I guess if you do question it, you aren’t considered part of the flock anymore. We had a neighbor who was very anti-gun (he felt that NO ONE except the police and active military should have them). Long story short, he walked in on a burglar and was hit before the burglar ran away. Within a VERY short period of time, he was the proud owner of several handguns. My point being: life experiences may change your point of view if you are an intelligent being. Therefore, Logan is quite the dumb butt IMHO.
That is the key here, the concept of women as property in islam.
Some years ago I was in Marrakesh with my tall, blonde wife. My guide took one look at her and schooled us in survival if we wished to move about freely. Not only was it essential that she cover her hair, but wear a scarf around her neck and long skirt and long sleeves and no make-up.
He refused to guide us otherwise due to the risk to his own person. He also insisted that my wife always walk a half step behind me and that I make eye contact with every male possible as we moved about.
Walking beside men is considered defiance to all men in their culture. That was over 20 years ago and in Morocco and I found those mores to be universal all over the middle east. Women certainly cannot be assured of safety in the more crowded areas of the souk (market places) anywhere.
Either they are ignorant or are determined to be in spite of the evils of Islam.
Islamic treatment of young girls and women is criminal and repulsive in the extreme. Yet there are so many foolish people in the West, men and women, who insist all cultures are equal.
There is a reason why Jesus chose a female prostitute to save when He gave His lesson about those being without sin casting the first stone. Yet we are in danger of throwing 2000 years of western civilization away in a false quest for perfect, unattainable equality among all cultures.

I’m guessing if Lara Logan had any qualms about going to Egypt, they were “poo-pood” by liberal superiors in their comfy offices at CBS. Lara also had to prove that she could cover any assignment the “boys” could cover, otherwise her career would be jeopardized.
Interesting conundrum that left wing feminists are faced with:
America = bad because of its sexist past, the supposed “wage gap,” the fact that most of us oppose abortion, and the fact that we have the unmitigated audacity to elect republicans once in a while.
Islam = good because they hate America and Judeo-Christian-based western culture.
HOWEVER, Islam-based culture is 1000x worse in their treatment of women, any way you want to measure it. But that’s okay bcs they hate America and western culture.
I”ve said it many times before, modern feminism has absolutely nothing to do with women’s rights, treatment of women, or equality.
Why does the left continue to select women to important posts in the State Dept. representing the US to Muslim states?
They have no status and their words are ignored. Remember Saddam’s reaading of the State Dept. ambassor on the invasion of Kuwait.

It is sort of sad to think that a woman has to put herself in that kind of danger to prove her worth. Men and women aren’t the same and they don’t face the same kind of risks. I am wondering if the upper management is happy with itself while sitting in their comfy, safe offices?

I am sure they are. They don’t and won’t see themselves as responsible. They won’t connect the rather obvious dots. As you pointed out previously, liberalism is their religion, and it is not to be questioned.

When Lara Logan traveled to Egypt to cover the Tahrir Square protests, she was unaware that she was going to be working in a country where sexual harassment rape rates of women and especially foreign women are so high as to be universal.
