"We might ask ourselves how we would be reacting if Iraqi commandos landed at George W. Bushs compound, assassinated him, and dumped his body in the Atlantic."

“For example, there’s no moral equivalence between the bombing of the World Trade Center and the destruction of Nicaragua or of El Salvador, of Guatemala. The latter were far worse, by any criterion. So there’s no moral equivalence.”
Interview by Tim Sebastian on BBC NEWS, February 2, 2002
It’s hard to figure out where to begin with this self-serving ‘analysis’, but I’ll point out that it follows the classic Chomsky template, where the most outrageous historical parallels are drawn, and then the piece is quickly drawn to a close with the intimate understanding that the reader knows exactly what he’s talking about and is invited to stay on and tune in at some later date for a fuller analysis. Funny, Noam, I alwsys thought names like Apache, Tomahawk, or for that matter the Braves and Redskins in pro sports were minted to HONOR the American Indian as fighter , warrior and potential victor, not to demean him as victim or loser. But that’s just me and my incomplete, non-academic education).
I dont know anything about this guy but thought it was interesting that he was coming out against Obama - even though he has to add in the obligatory slam to the Republicans.
Noam uses CRITICAL THEORY extremely well. Perhaps he could compare the equivalence of our Libyan intervention? Ex: What if China expropriated $20byn from US interests to fund the New Black Panther’s democracy movement in Philadelphia??
You never heard of Noam Chomsky? He’s very important as a linguist but his political beliefs are on the far side of the moon. He has said that most if not all 20th century American Presidents should have been tried as War Criminals.
What an intellectually dishonest intellectual he is.
He concludes that the U.S. illegally assassinated Osama.
Then he concludes that George Bush is a war criminal.
He somehow fails to conclude that Obama, who admitted he ordered the “assassination,” is also a war criminal.
What a fool. And he is the heart and source of much liberal thinking.
Well then I guess Obama fits right in...
The videos have started about what Osama was REALLy watching

Noam Chomsky: Friend of dictators and mass murderers. This is so comical it’s hardly worth commenting on.
Maybe obama will dump them in the Pacific.
Not as implausible as many would think. Leftists are like muslimes in this regard: They've killed far more of their own then their stated enemies. By far.
This is just one of the reasons people such as O'Donnel and Chomsky are "useful IDIOTS."
Redundant. This is what happens when you replace true philosophers with "intellectuals".
Napalitano believes a lot of strange things.
Actually I've asked myself how I would react if American patriots landed at Noam Chomsky's compound, assassinated him, and dumped his body in the Atlantic.
For all his loud-mouth sympathy for the world’s oppressed, you’d think he’d live in a racially/ethnically diverse lower-class neighborhood. But does he? NO! He’s lived in the overwhelmingly white upper-middle class suburb of Lexington, MA since 1965.
Interestingly, another article today said that Bin Laden was a big Chomsky fan. The Noam/Osama love affair has come to a close and an angry Noam has descended into tearful, angry declarations about us evil U.S. citizens. poor Noam.
Oh yes, Noam Chomsky, the apologist for Pol Pot, is someone whose opinions we should take seriously. As the Brits say, pull the other one.
Noam Chomsky is a ignorant soul. The left loves him because he is a good communicator; but he is shallow intellectually.
I don’t think he actually lives here. I could be wrong. I thought he lives in Italy.
