Well, he should have armed himself. Esp if he decides to kill 3000 Innocent Americans thru cowardly means.
If you are in a fair fight, then you are doing it wrong.
Should the SEALS waited for him to find a rifle before them blew him to allah?

I’m also uncomfortable with this killing, although in my mind he deserved to die. I’m wondering if it’s right to instruct military personnel to kill someone - actually an assassination in this case, when it appears that it was possible to take that person into custody.

Former presidential candidate, "I served in Viet Nam, John Kerry", supposedly shot a young teen age enemy in the back. If true and that's a big if, I have no problem with it whatsoever.

We are engaged in a war, declared by bin laden, he is was the enemy, now he's a dead enemy.Win, win.

I regret his death because much use-full information could have been “squeezed” out of him. However, Obama is currently prosecuting and investigating our operatives that squeezed the information from detainees that led to this successful mission. Without that tool any information obtained from Osama would have been worthless.

Obama was in a corner due to his own polices on interrogation. Therefore, he had Osama killed instead of captured.

>>>The spiritual leader of the Anglican Communion admitted on Thursday that he felt “very uncomfortable” with the killing of Osama bin Laden when he was unarmed.<<<

Was he also ‘very uncomfortable’ when the Twin Towers went down? Or the Pentagon hit? Or the plane hitting the ground in PA??? Many of those people murdered 9/11 were unarmed...

The spiritual leader of the Anglican Communion admitted on Thursday that he felt “very uncomfortable” with the killing of Osama bin Laden when he was unarmed.

The spiritual leader of the Anglican Communion ought to wait until all the facts are collected and reported before making statements, IMO. We do not know the circumstances of the demise of Osama, so stop speculating. Osama had weapons on the grounds of his compound; he may have been prepared to blow up the entire facility if given the chance. We just do not know at this time exactly what went down. Osama was capable of just about anything; we know that he liked to kill innocent people and would have liked to kill more and more.

I would advise the spiritual leader of the Anglican Communion to quietly gather facts, then make a statement.

It’s probably a good thing for all of these squishy clowns to keep in mind that the operation wasn’t conducted with their comfort in mind. But they’ll all be checking in from now until the cows come home because it’s a good opportunity for them to score a little face time.

So they’re uncomfortable with the fact that the scumbag was whacked, but they have no problem exploiting his death to score some personal publicity. Nice.

We all hope you manage to work it out somehow. But don’t expect anyone to jump through hoops to insure your emotional rehabilitation. We have no problem with the extermination of vermin.

I wish he would do something about the condition of his church instead of whinging over something about which he knows nothing and has no control.
That said he’s a dolt.

I can say this I’m Anglican.

Oh, I wouldn’t ask for any help working it out here, it’s just a passing thought anyway, just seems more than passingly strange that we would shot someone in the face by order of the POTUS, when capture was a possibility.

I suppose if one gets on the POTUS most wanted list - that means wanted dead, not dead or alive.

You’re not on his enemies list yet, right?

With due respect to Rowan, he’s not a sycophant, he’s just woolly-headed

I’m not a big fan of Rowan. And that’s me speaking as an Anglican.

Quite frankly — you as an Anglican don’t need to justify Rowan. He doesn’t speak for you traditional, conservative Anglicans.
