Most voters believe the popularity boost President Obama has received following the killing of Osama bin Laden will disappear quickly, according to a new poll conducted for The Hill.
Almost three in five likely voters think the bin Laden bounce will vanish within three months, the poll indicates. Only one in four believes that Obama will still be benefitting in six months time.
Obama is currently enjoying a major spike in his approval ratings: A New York Times/CBS poll last week showed an 11-point jump in his approval rating compared to two weeks before. Gallups daily tracking poll showed Obamas job-approval number up by about 6 points in the immediate aftermath.

People are getting aggravated at the MSM gushing and salivating over Obama when the Seals and the CIA did all the work.
So killing is good, waterboarding is bad. Whew....my brain is having trouble dealing with that.
Of course, Obama thinks killing babies is good, too.
I agree. The peacock peaked too soon. 2012 is far away.
Meanwhile... nothing to see here move along. Obama is the won the radicals have been waiting for...

Home Market Takes a Tumble
Turnaround More Distant After 3% Drop, Steepest Quarterly Decline Since 2008
BY NICK TIMIRAOS AND DAWN WOTAPKA
Home values posted the largest decline in the first quarter since late 2008, prompting many economists to push back their estimates of when the housing market will hit a bottom.
Home values fell 3% in the first quarter from the previous quarter and 1.1% in March from the previous month, pushed down by an abundance of foreclosed homes on the market, according to data to be released Monday by real-estate website Zillow.com. Prices have now fallen for 57 consecutive months, according to Zillow.
Last year, the housing market showed signs of improving as price depreciation slowed in some markets and ...
Why is it that Saturday Night LIVE sees the GOP contenders as a joke they are but not the current joke- Obama?
Too funny... The libs take a poll to see how long the polls will hold up.
You can’t make it up. They are so freaking pathetic.
If this rating does not drop - AND STAY - below 35%, the stain will be re-elected in 2012.
He can’t spin this one to his advantage. He was against the war, he sympathizes with Islam, he planned to cut pay for DOD.....not a person in the US believes he is sincere when he spouts off about being determined to catch bin Laden, or being proud of our Navy Seals. The truth is that his criminal was taken out DESPITE our president, not BECAUSE he was our president.
I didn’t watch much news footage, but it appeared to me that crowds were pretty thin at Ground Zero when he made his gratutious visit to honor the 9/11 victims.
Its time BO accepted that he is the skunk at the picnic.
A poll about a poll.
So now we are conducting polls about polls? Geez.
I agree with you. I can’t understand how this bungler could be this high, even with the OBL killing.
The people in this country are sheep being led to the slaughter.
Never before in my life have I found myself actually ignoring my family members and friends who voted for this “guy”. I cannot stand to think that people I know and love could be so d-— uneducated. God help us.
I’m not sure the American people can understand the difference that you cite here.
You just have the problem all American do: uninformed fellow citizens, and it’s not likely to change.
A poll about the pool about that poll shows Obama will spend a BILLION bucks and use ACORN and win. Sad but true...
If he were a Rep the public will forget, but as long as the MSM leads stories with “ another decisive move, a gutsy move, the brave heroic action etc” the public wont forget
“But I was so brave when I made my decision to kill Osama. My plan was as brilliant as I could make it. I had some tense 40 minutes there, but I came trough it OK. It was the hardest decision I ever made but I did suck a great job, when I had Osama killed... oh and there were some Navy Seals involved to, I think... even they think I did such a great job in my mission to give the order, which I did- and not Leon Panetta, to kill Osama.”
So they’re taking polls now to predict how the polls will look? Talk about manufacturing news.
You cant make it up. They are so freaking pathetic.
That was my thought. The only thing more stupid were the polls in December about how the public approved of the "new" Congress...in December!
Well, certainly at least 52% of the voting public are. Question is: who's doing the "leading"....and why oh why is there not a loud voice constantly shouting "watch out for the cliff, you sheep!!!"
It takes very little for a leader to lead when there is no creditable opposition...and at this point in time - there isn't.
The opposition either can't find a voice or can't get noticed. [Regrettably, it is more of the former than the latter.]
"Can't find a voice" = 50.5%
"Can't get noticed" = 49.5%
Maybe they should take a poll about Leon Panetta’s approval ratings. He may be a Clinton political hack, but at least he made a good decision on OBL.
