This turns my stomach and I wonder what the HELL is going on the military these days?

I am with you on that statement. This repeal of dadt made my decision to retire this year very easy. I learned that we have MANDATORY dadt classes this weekend.

A large portion of our military, particularly in the front line units, is made up of socially conservative men, with a disproportionate number of Southerners and evangelical Christians. The net effect of this compulsory tolerance of perversion will be a decline in enlistments and re-enlistments from socially conservative backgrounds.

This is the real purpose of the "gay" tolerance policy: to eliminate from the ranks or at least lessen the proportion of military personnel with socially and religiously conservative values. Replacing them with minorities (especially blacks), homosexuals, and secular, nihilistic types will provide the powers that be with a military more malleable to domestic goals, such as forcible disarmament of civilians. This was what happened in Russia following the Bolshevik Revolution and in other Communist countries.

I told my wife, when DADT was repealed, this would be the way gays would get everything they wanted.

By the military allowing all this it set precedence and they will use our gay friendly military to shove their agenda down our throats in every court.

Dumbest damn move the military ever could have made.

How long do you think this will last?

Until God destroys America. Let's face it - the Beltway Republican party has no stomach for this fight and even if we get a Republican president and take the Senate in 2012, they will make no effort to reverse this. Right now, the Republican establishment is waiting with baited breath for tea party enemy Mitch Daniels to announce his candidacy.

I know how you feel Mickie. We lived in the best of times and now we are watching it all fade away, right before our very eyes. What we have to accept is that it’s really already gone and has been for about 15 years, and getting worse each year.

It’s pretty apparent we cannot count on future generations. Sad, very sad.

Here are some excellent videos and this is why I have little hope for America.

"stuff like this makes me think we are living in the last days of this age."

It could just as likely be the last days of this nation without being the last days of this age. It's normal for people to see what impacts their own fate as the most important thing going on. Personally I don't think Christ has finished with this age or this country and in fact has just begun wailing the daylights out of us to get us back on track.

Sodomy is a sin. Oral sex is a sin. Sex between two heterosexuals, not married, is also a sin. Sex is powerful and not to be casual. It is a spiritual and physical tie that is meant to be a lifelong and life-enhancing commitment that brings us to the Divinity himself as participants in creation—the creating of new lives (the newborn). Even the past sin of this sort must not be remembered fondly; for, Scripture says clearly: “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Why pray if you have no expectation of being heard by Him? Only purity can approach a holy God. This is why forgiveness of sin is essential. “Be perfect just as your Father in heaven is perfect,” Jesus instructed. All this sex running around is rubbish in the eyes of the Lord. And to the burning dung heap they shall go, ultimately.

The morale of the military is at it’;s lowest, not pone vet or anyone serving stands by this perversion and my sons have now changed their mind in joining and seems I will be the last in over a hundred years of serving proudly.

Unfortunately, western civilization and Christendom, at least what you and I consider, are no longer in vogue and are considered positively hateful.

There have been forces aggressively working to slowly destroy western civilization and most especially Christendom for 200 years +/- a few decades here or there.

These forces have invaded government to increase dependence upon an all-sufficient government. These forces have been slowly propagandizing our grandparents, parents, us, our children and (maybe) our grandchildren through the lessons of public education. These forces have worked to shape public opinion through the media (of various types).

Western civilization is in such horrible shape that it needs re-evangelization just as if Christendom never existed.

we can marry, risk our lives, get married by the feds and the feds recognize this but our state will not so therefore overturn DOMA.

then it is getting kids,
then teaching this in school

If any ignorant idiot out there thinks this is about marriage then they seriously need to get a grip and educate themselves and look at MA

Why hould they? All they get is grief insted of support, particularily on this forum.

During the Clinton Administration there was a Air Force guy that was court martialed for refusing to serve under the U.N. Then there is Lt. Col. Larkin.

My brother's son-in-law walked away from 12 years in the Navy. He saw this coming and his current contract expired,so he did not re up.

I read the memo and it says “consistent with the tenets of his or her religious organization, a chaplain may officiate a same-sex civil marriage”

It looks like they’re not quite at the point of court martialling non-compliant chaplains yet. If and when that point arrives, it will be interesting to see how chaplains respond.

The advisory came in the form of an April 13 memo issued to all chaplains, in which the Chief of Navy Chaplains, Admiral Michael Tidd, said the Chaplain Corps was revising its Tier I training manuals, which had previously indicated that same-sex marriages are not authorized on federal property.

I would say they got his name wrong. It should be Admiral Mark L Tidd.

Anyway, in addition to being at best an equivocating spineless bureaucrat hiding behind an interpretation of law that violates actual law (DOMA), one who seems to forget who his real boss is, God --this guy is/was a reservist -some background:

Pastor answers call to serve

The question is -- Serve Who?

P.S. Admiral Tidd is Presbyterian.

-coincidental article posted on FR: Possible removal of gay ordination ban stirs Presbyterian debate {pinko alert}

Some may think all these things are happening by chance and getting leaked and or publicized by chance rather than by community organized concerted effort.

I would say that half the news heralding the advancement of the acceptance of homosexual sex normalcy is propaganda and that the people doing it are either directly promoting self destruction or just useful idiots.

What of this 'news'? I think more propaganda than actual reality -more fear bait to get people to accept the apparent innevitable.

It always seems darkest before the light.

There is no way that the Priests will do this. Catholics will never have to do this lucky. The Chaplains that are part of that protestant group are the ones that don’t mind this and authorizes same-sex marriage. Those are the ones that will perform same sex marriages. I just wonder if they will be required to do so. I guarantee that the Protestants at Chaplain school in Newport, RI will have at least a seminar on performing same sex marriages that will be mandatory.

There will be a bunch of chaplains resigning.

Everybody always says this and it never happens. The Marines have not seen any movement with resignations. There has not been any due to gays allowed in the Military. The Navy either. The Navy would welcome 3000 Sailors to leave tomorrow. They are starting boards in June to get rid of 3000 Sailors between 7 years and 15 years by 1 October. So trust me if people would leave because of any of these reasons the branches would welcome this.

It’s not a matter of building any new buildings. Obviously, the majority groups will need the biggest, current chapels.

The gay groups can have any other building designated a chapel, and there are always unused or minimally used buildings on military reservations. It wouldn’t really cost anything.

Besides, a gay wedding is a desecration of a holy space which is not permitted..

I agree with you completely about the premise of this but I thought you were serious about building other chapels for those who wanted to have a gay wedding. By the time you build on every military base, reserve base, ships, etc. it would cost a fortune. lol.

When we had to have a Muslim chapel they just designated an unused building “Muslim Chapel” and drove on. Of course, there was a need for chairs and whatever else gets used in Muslim worship, but it was no great expense.

It was far more expensive when we TOTALLY renovated our barracks from a “maintenance/repair” pot of money one year, and tore them down 2 years later, when we built new ones out of a “new construction” pot of money.

That is top of my list for the dumbest expenditure of tons of money that I have ever personally witnessed.

But - We can only be “de-Christianized” if we LET ourselves be.

There’s a whole mess of us, brother. Legions.

About time we all realized it, stood up together, and got in THEIR faces for once.

The results would be astounding - and probably terrifying to the Left.
