"The man is identified as Rageit Almursi, 28.
He was identified as 28-year-old Rageit Almurisi. Though he carried a Yemen passport, it wasn't clear if his nationality was also Yemeni, Rodgriguez said.
A male flight attendant tackled the suspect, who carried a Yemen passport, and other crew members aided as the suspect banged on the cockpit door."

How do discourage this sort of behavior?
Hit them with something they can comprehend. Say, the cost the airline sustained in diverting the flight, the lost revenue, the cost incurred in inconveniencing the passengers - then we have treble damages.
Taking these scumbags to the cleaners, and showing them that actions really do have consequences - might fix the issue. Then again, opening the door and chucking him out of the plane makes a lot of sense too.

Should pilots be able to remove passengers because of their appearance?

Two Muslim Imams dressed in traditional garb were removed from a flight in Tennessee. The Imams were on their way to Charlotte, North Carolina for a conference on “Islamophobia”, the fear of Islam. After the Imams again cleared security checks, the pilot still refused to fly with the men on board.
This morning, AM is asking: Should pilots be able to remove passengers because of their appearance?
American Morning wants to hear from you. Post your thoughts here

If this is typical of journalistic professionalism today, it's a sad state of affairs. Here's the title direct from CBS: "Man Subdued After Disrupting Flight To Chicago". Yet the first half of the article details an incident on a flight ready to land at San Francisco. You have to go to the second half of the article to read about an earlier incident involving a flight going to Chicago.

Thats right, the TSA consistently gets it wrong. They’re nothing more than eye wash which is why flying is still dangerous. Why roll the dice and get molested at the same time?

Yes - I suggest one of the portable 5 pound fire extinguishers located throughout the cabin. Aim for the base of the skull. Repeat as needed. Three full swings by and adult male should get the job done.

We need to start spreading the notion that the REAL “Islamophobia” is in the actions of those who do everything they can to avoid offending them out of FEAR.
