Orange County prosecutors next week are scheduled to argue against a defense motion to keep them from speaking in public about their criminal case against 11 student activists accused of disrupting an Israeli ambassador's speech at UC Irvine last year.
The motion, filed in Orange County Superior Court's Central Justice Center in Santa Ana on Tuesday, accuses Deputy Dist. Atty. Dan Wagner, police and representatives from the district attorney's office of tainting the jury pool with public statements against the 11 defendants. Defense attorneys are seeking a court order that would keep prosecutors from talking publicly to the media or others about the case.
The defendants, known as the Irvine 11, are accused of conspiring to, then successfully executing, a disruption of Israel Ambassador Michael Oren's speech in February 2010. They face up to six months in jail if convicted.

>>Nowhere in the scant news reports does it say that these “student activists” are all muslims, i.e., islamic jihadist anti-Semites.<<
I think when the press published the names, we might get an inkling:
They are likely not all muslims; I bet that only 1 or 2 of them are. The other 9 or 10 are hardcore leftists who are similar to St. Pancake Rachel Corrie.... Leftist Israeli and America haters, who just hate the West for everything.

Probably want a ban on media reporting as well.
Wow — 5 year delayed reaction ping!
That has GOT to be a record!
Thanks, popped up today under the Israel topic. I know to check the date, old articles do that, but didn’t this time.
Could just as well have been yesterday. Let’s not forget the induction of Obama’s Underwater Fantasy, a classic.

Time travel is underrated anyway :)
But, but, but.
Black Lives Matter activists have EVERYBODY in (democrat) public policy positions “prosecuting with publicity” every day up through and after the trial!
Maybe - to democrats - only their side gets publicity?
Yes, but here in 2011 there is no #BLM. We are blissfully happy sipping sarsaparilla and listening to the community band at the town square.
