Obama stakes claim on immigration law reform
The Hill ^ | May10, 2011 | Jordy Yager and Sam Youngman

President Obama plans to unveil a “blueprint” on Tuesday of what he wants Congress to include in a comprehensive immigration reform bill, according to senior administration officials. Obama is scheduled to visit El Paso, Texas, with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano as part of the White House’s increased efforts to return immigration reform to the national spotlight. A senior administration official told reporters in a conference call Monday evening that Obama’s renewed push for an immigration bill was not merely a political move attempting to paint Congress as the inhibitor and the White House as the doer in the eyes of Latino voters ahead of the 2012 elections.

“While it may be true that there are significant obstacles in Congress, we believe the American people expect the policymakers to do their job,” said an official. “So we do not accept the argument that because there are some in Congress who are unwilling to act that we ought to just wash our hands of trying to get this done.”...

Despite the new, more conservative Republican majority in the House, administration officials insist that legislative prospects have not dimmed. White House press secretary Jay Carney said Obama and his staff are “congenital optimists” about getting something passed, but acknowledged that Republican support for reform has ebbed in recent years...

White House officials are scheduled to take part in at least 30 talks throughout the country with community, business and law enforcement leaders on the topic of immigration reform over the next several months, according to the official on the call.

Building support and applying constituent pressure on Congress has been at the heart of the White House’s strategy in recent months, as the president has met with influential Hispanic leaders from all walks, from Hollywood to Capitol Hill....

The commie ‘RATS still haven’t explained to the American people WHY our immigration policies need to be “reformed”. I don’t think we have a shortage of poverty in this country.

Obummer had both houses and himself, he could have passed this, the truth is he is using it as vote buying bait. Now the question is how many Latinos are stupid enough to fall for it. Same crap the democraps have pull on the black people for years.

"WHY our immigration policies need to be “reformed"

It's simple: More Latino Voters for politicians who pander to Latinos.

Oh. You have written their slogan for them: “ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION: BECAUSE WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH POVERTY AND IGNORANCE IN OUR COUNTRY YET”

I continue to be amazed that blacks do not rise up in large numbers to demand enforcement of immigration laws and to oppose easing of laws making it easier for illegals to be employed here.

Study after study has shown that blacks are the demographic must affected by iillegals.
The majority of the jobs illegals take are jobs that blacks lose out on.

The mantra that illegals are taking jobs Americans won’t do has been proven to be pure political bovine excrement.
Time after time, when jobs become open after an ICE raid, there are more legal applicants than there are jobs.

Americans of all races want jobs.
But politicians of both parties want to make cheap illegal labor available to unscrupulous employers.
The same employers give them quid pro quo in the form of campaign contributions, jobs for their relatives and friends, and high paying jobs or speaking fees for the politicians after retirement.

As an example:

In Florida, the state legislature just ajourned without passing a state law requiring businesses to use E-Verify to make sure employees are legal and using their own, legal, social security numbers. The state’s politicians know that the tourism and agriculture industries rely on cheap illegal labor to hold costs down and won’t do anything to endanger political support from either.

Exactly. Start up with daily trifecta of email, phone call, and fax to be sure your reps know where you stand on immigration.

Loathsome coward. He knows the House will never pass it, so next year he can paint the Repubs as racist evilmongers. The Repubs’ failure to effectively attack Obama is this year’s biggest disappointment.

The dems had the house, senate, and presidency so they could have passed anything they wanted including amnesty for illegals, but they didn't.

The dems didn't want amnesty passed all the problems it's going to create would fall right on top of the dems.

The illegals are the dems useful idiots, and just like all useful idiots they are expendable.

The objective is to get the illegals to marching in the streets in protest, and for the protest to turn violent.

The leaders of Marxist revolutions perceive themselves to be too important to the movement to risk or sacrifice their own lives. They are the great leaders. Without them the movement would fail.

Let the expendables shed their blood.

Third World agitators inside the US are harassing Obama to use presidential power to halt deportations of illegals - which "immigrant-rights advocates" say Hispanic voters want before the next election.......

THE THIRD WORLD INSIDE THE US ALERT Just "here for a better life" with no compunction about using votes for personal gain. “He has powers under existing law to provide relief from deportation for certain immigrants,” said Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez, (D-Ill), a Third World cheerleader in our Congress. Not that these scumbags care about US laws, but it is unlawful to trade votes for govt action.

==============================================

GOOD NEWS REFERENCE The Pew Center for the People and the Press’ massive look at political parties, released last week, found that the gap between Democratic coalitions favoring stricter immigration enforcement and legalization is TWICE as large as the gap between hard-line Republicans and their more libertarian-leaning cohorts.....

It is likely he will do it by edict ... he has the power (in his mind) and he will use it. He is a tyrant thinly disguised. MO
