NJ State Police "Outraged" Over Rapper Invited to White House (Praised Fugitive Cop Killer)
NBC New York ^ | Tuesday, May 10, 2011 | Brian Thompson

The invitation of rapper Common to a White House this week is drawing the ire of the union representing New Jersey state police.

While not even casual hip-hop fans would characterize him as a controversial rapper, Common found himself under the microscope after First Lady Michelle Obama invited him to the White House for an arts event. FOX News and Sarah Palin criticized the decision after the Daily Caller published some of Common's lyrics, including some that criticize President George W. Bush.

For Jersey police, the outrage centers on a song by Common about Assata Shakur, formerly known as Joanne Chesimard, who was convicted for the 1973 slaying of Trooper Werner Foerster on the New Jersey Turnpike. Garden State police take offense at "A Song for Assata," which includes the lines "Your power and pride is beautiful. May God bless your soul."

For David Jones, president of the State Troopers Fraternal Association union, the White House invitation to a rapper who seems to celebrate Shakur is disturbing.

"The young people who read this stuff, hear this stuff, are getting a very dangerous and deadly message," Jones said.

Contrary to the liberal media spin, it's more than just conservatives who are upset the Obama administration is inviting this anti-American to the White House.

No surprise - the rapper and the Obamas are cut from the same cloth.

including some that criticize President George W. Bush.

A call to burn the man... just a little constructive criticism.

These people are incapable of telling the truth about anything.

Poor little Sachsa. Poor little Malia.

Or maybe FUBO and FUMO will put the kids to bed before the racist rapper with f-bombs and n-words “entertains” the Obamas with tales of burning presidents and killing cops.

After watching the deplorable behavior of the cops during the Minnisota collective bargaining debable, I'm guessing the answer to your question depends heavily on whether they're unionized or not.

This was a topic on Hannity tonight. I only caught part of it but there were two black men - one defending the invite and one against it. The Obamas are racists but we already knew that.

They all want their pensions

Assata Shakur is the step-aunt of Tupac Shakur.

Sean Hannity just played a clip of Common rapping a “vote for Obama” ditty at Trinity United Church in 2007. The ditty included a line about Obama being a church member.

“Reverend” Wright was dancing behind him.

Are you kidding? Barry bassturd wants his daughters to have the full effect of ‘his people’s culture’ so they will be kept up as late as necessary to absorb some of this ‘real magic negro’ spittle.

Most Liberal, Marxist, Socialist, Democrats and zer0 would burn us all if, they could get away with it,
But who’s taxes would the government collect if that happened?
Not the bum’s I know, Their collecting, unemployment, union bennies, food stamps, and Govt give aways that I did not know existed, Like signing up for school, and picking up a cool 2k with no strings attached. (NY) and there is more like no cost walk in the Hospital health care.
Makes you wonder,why work?
Makes you wonder, why they can’t suspend this BS and balance the budge
