It really IS getting to the point of being a viable option for government to just take ALL wealth created and divvy it out to individuals as needed to survive if this crap moves forward.

The Republicans ought to DEMAND a balanced budget amendment be passed and sent to the states BEFORE they agree to a debt ceiling hike. The great thing about an amendment is that the POS in the White House is not needed in the process.

ain't gonna be so much wealth created then, is there?

They forget we are not a nation of peasants (yet), but still have a lot of wealth creators with stubborn independent values who are smarter than the people who think they are in charge of our lives

200-300 years ago the sheeple stayed back in europe and look at what they became

Attention Conservatives! Name one rule, regulation or agency that is killing us that the “Republicans” have eliminated.....Thought so. They will go down in flames. Prepare for total defeat in 2012. They are going after the “little guys” again. Rats will have a well deserved field day.

Fine! Let these guys present that in the DNC’s Platform, and run on it. I dare ‘em.

This is an excellent reminder that there is plenty of housecleaning left to do, even this far out from the actual 2012 elections. The Senate is up for grabs, literally. The career Rats and Rinos are running for the exits because they know they cannot win.

Get out and find candidates to run, and support them. Get these liberals and libertards out of office and then we can get about disassembling this monster they have assembled in our names.

If we refuse to raise the debt ceiling... they will be forced to cut the budget and deficit through spending CANCELLATIONS... just stop it... no more debt... refuse to raise the limit... force these communist bastards into a corner.

The Scream by Edvard Munch. I actually saw the painting at an exhibit in London many years ago.

The government prints fiat money out of thin air right now.

THere is no need to tax anyone. Not when you have funny money as the basis for your economy. Just make more.

It is exactly what they are doing anyway. So why punish people?

That is the only purpose of the tax code in America today. to punish and control.

If they did that it still would not pay for an entire year’s worth of government the way they are destroying it now.

Hasn't that always been the goal?

I remember Macaulay’s unforgettable pose. It was “a scream,” to say the least.
