VIRGINIA BEACH
The 23-year-old man who died of a gunshot wound after being dropped off at a fire station late Tuesday had been attempting an armed home invasion robbery when he was shot, police said.
One of the residents at a home in the 300 block of Rose Marie Avenue shot Shawn Thomas Ross, said Officer Adam Bernstein, a police spokesman.
Police have interviewed the shooter and no charges are being filed at this time, Bernstein said. Ross had been carrying a handgun, he said. It does not appear to be random, but the relationship between the residents of the home and shooting victim are unclear.
Ross was taken to the fire station at 3608 South Plaza Trail about 11:30 p.m. by someone police believe was an acquaintance, he said.
Ross, of the 5100 block of Settlers Park Drive, was then taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.
I won't speculate as to what the relationship might have been, that remains to be seen.
Anyways, someone took the trash out.
Deceased perp.
Cleaning the gene pool.
What a waste! This guy bled on the home, then in his friend's car, then on the fire station (some friend - wouldn't take him all the way to a hospital), then on the ambulance, and finally on the hospital. That sounds like a whole lot of cleaning (worth it, but still too much work).
Orange jumpsuit, huh? Gee, I wonder where they got that photo?
I’m SHOCKED I tell you, shocked!
I’m sure his family will say he’s a good lad, just misunderstood...
Aw, c’mon. He’s probably a Virginia Cavaliers fan, a UVA grad even.
Perhaps a small shrine will appear, repleat with mylar balloons, teddy bears and candles.
Maybe they’ll retire his orange jumpsuit at the pen.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Hell just got one more resident, and the world is all the better for it.
I love your tag line. I’ve always referred to these places as victim disarmament zones.
Which clears welfare and Democrat voter records of as many as 12 additional, future names.
Yet another easy-to-find mugshot.
...and that he was simply frustrated with racism, poverty, lack of economic opportunity, no access to health care, and immigration policies. So much was on his mind. How awful.
Local TV said that he had prior convictions for drug, alcohol and traffic violations.
Sadly, at 23 he's likely to have several "baby mamas" out there, raising his spawn on the taxpayers' dime.
Aren’t those garish? They are everywhere in the Lou.
The police should give the shooter a good citizenship award for clearing cases and preventing future crimes and criminals.
