Pardon my ignorance, but why do the people of Canada tolerate this censorship?
Do Canadians not have freedom of speech?
Not really. I wish the new Conservative majority would start standing up to this and not go all squishy like our RINOs.
i can see this happening here too... sadly...
censorship aside. i don’t think fags watch sports anyway. while dykes only watch LPGA and field hockey.
I have heard they are already using hate speech laws to silence pastors up there, but I do not have a link to confirm it. I know that it will only be a matter of time before that it is done here in the USA. My only hope is that the ACLJ will make those laws be used on real hate groups like LaRaza and the NBP.
It has been shown that Eric Holder will let his people violate the civil rights of others, so I’m not getting my hopes up.
Not like we do, no. For example, in Canada they could easily shut down a KKK march, where here it’s protected speech.
Canada is shot-through with socialism and political correctness, so they don't have freedom of speech as you imagine it. It is worse than the USA, and similar to Europe's condition.
Not to be nit picky here but.. you really need to read the article closer.
Unless I’m mistaken this is NOT state run TV. Censorship is when the Government shuts you up.
To me this reads as a company that did not like his comments so they fired him. Same thing could and has happened here in the US. Private companies can fire people if they don’t like what they say in public and they hear it will impact their business.

Do Canadians not have freedom of speech?<
Remember what happened to my fellow canadian Mark Steyn? There ya go. I left kanadastan in 2007. I still LOL at the canadian threads that because canada lowered the tax rate it’s all hunky dory....I’m back in Vancouver twice a year and the biggest industry is security guards just to guard the massive and empty Olympic facilities.
Canadians do not really have freedom of speech.
In too many ways, it appears they do not. IIRC you can be prosecuted for 'hate speech' in Canada.
Never fear, though. It's coming soon to an America near you.
You need to rephrase the question and insert "Christian". Then, as for the answer, no.......
