America provided Britain with one nuclear reactor for HMS Dreadnought in the 1960s.. Derived Submarine - New PWR3 (Pressurized Water Reactor 3), propulsion system "based on a US design but using UK reactor technology".. So this is a natural circulation plant. The Navy has had natural circ capability built into their plants for decades. I should know, I operated them.
The article does not make sense. It sense Virginia Trident Submarine. Virginia Class Submarines are attack submarines, and do not carry strategic weapons aboard.
This is sort of sensitive information that I am surprise is in the context of this article. I was an officer aboard a VIRGINIA Class submarine myself, but now I am an engineer at Electric Boat. I personally know the engineering team designing this coolant system.
