Donald Trump is not running for president.
"After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency," Trump said in a statement Monday. "This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country," the real estate mogul and reality show star continued.

Huck not running...Trump not running...this is beginning to look like a very good news day. Now if Allen West said he WAS running, that would really put the icing on the cupcake.

To: massmike
I think this is unfortunate. Trump was the only one who could speak over the media. That being said, Trump would not have been able to turn this country around because I really think it is too late.

First it was Huckabee. Now Trump.
Now if we can sweep Romney and Newt out of the way - the GOP field will look a lot better.

After seeing his reactions at the WH press dinner it was clear he is too thin-skinned to run for or to serve as POTUS. Yep that was the end. Many who supported him thought he would be able to deal with the media, and that showed that he couldn't....game over.

Bret Baier just said Herman Cain gets the benefit. I agree. Right now I am supporting Cain. If Mitch Daniels runs I will vote for him in a heartbeat. I live in Illinois and I know what is going on in Indiana he has done a hell of a job.
Trump proved me wrong, it was all about ratings for "The Apprentice".

Now we need a solid conservative to rally behind.

I confess that *I* figured he was going to run.
(However I also figured — should I say hoped? — there was no way he could win the nomination.)

Good....a quick end to the Silly Season. This buffoon is gone, the Huck admits he wasn't in for the long haul, and Newtie's come out of the gate by stepping on his foreskin.
An early thinning of the herd was in order.

(1) West is not running. I heard him interviewed on the radio in Atlanta several weeks ago (he was raised in Atlanta), and he was pretty adamant that he is not running. He wasn’t coy nor did he leave any doors open for changing his mind. He bluntly said he’s not running—period. He made it sound like even if he was drafted at the convention, he would turn down the nomination.
West is not running. Wishful thinking time is over; focus on candidates that are in the race, not on the sidelines.
(2) Trump proved one thing—going directly at Obama (hard) works. Obama is vunerable on the issues, and if the GOP would go after Obama on the issues they will win.
The McCain dance from the 2008 election (let’s get along and not say be too negative) is a loser—it will only result in an Obama re-election.

I TOLD YOU SO! LOL, This was SO obvious! Just like his WWF act.
I told you this was all a publicity stunt for him to get free camera time. NBC has known for over a month that he was re-newing his contract with them, but kept it secret.
‘Trump's Chumps’ someone named them.
He made believe he was stealing WWF (Wrestling) from Vince McMahan a few years back. That was a act too LOL.
How about the Trump Chump freepers that called Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter liberals compared to Trump? LOL.

I am not a Trump for President fan, but, as Rush puts it, I would vote for Elmer Fudd if he got the Republican Party nomination. That said, I must give the Donald credit for holding Barry Dunham’s feet to the fire and having the guts to shout over the sycophantic lamestream media.
