Houston chain saw beheading suspect denies killing best friend
Houston Chronicle ^ | May 17, 2011 | LINDSAY WISE

At first, Adrian Bias had no reason to be suspicious when his neighbor, Noe Morin, came to his home Sunday morning and asked him to fix his chain saw.

Bias repaired the chain saw and returned it to Morin, who asked Bias if he could trust him, according to court documents. Bias said yes.

So Morin took Bias to the backyard of the Fifth Ward duplex Morin shared with his best friend, Marlon Thomas. He told Bias to look through a hole in the fence into the backyard of a vacant home next door.

Bias peeked through the opening and saw a headless body.

Morin said the body belonged to "Marlo," a nickname for Thomas.

"That is what I do when people steal from me," he told Bias.

Bias' chilling tale, as told to police, is recounted in court documents released Tuesday, which give more details about a grisly crime that shocked Bias' Fifth Ward neighborhood — a place so inured to violence that neighbors say the sound of gunshots behind Morin's small duplex Saturday night didn't provoke much alarm.

"We hear that every day," said resident Crystal Burks, 24. "People shoot for fun around here, so we don't pay much attention. It's normal."

The only thing better than a chain saw dismemberment is an attack of the living dead.

Anyone with any brains (assuming the head is still attached) uses a sawzall.

A band saw is preferable if you can manage it.

Bias peeked through the opening and saw a headless body. ... "That is what I do when people steal from me," he told Bias.
Hmm?!? I hate thieves too (Don't touch my stuff) but beheading is a little drastic IMHO.
I prefer a good old fashioned knee-capping.

And if I'm Really ticked one in the elbow for 'fun'.

Neighbors say Morin had accused Thomas of stealing drugs and money from him.

After this line I just don't care much any more. This is what druggies do to each other.

Drugs are a victimless crime in the US.

Drugs are a victimless crime in the US.

Correct.

Murder, robbery, rape, fraud (and others) are not.

If the crap weren't illegal there wouldn't be murderous, violent drug gangs going to war to monopolize the market for them.

But I suppose simple economics is waaaaaaay beyond your grasp.

I mean it's obvious. My neighborhood lives in constant fear that we'll catch a bullet in the great Budweiser v Miller turf wars. My neighborhood is chock full of armor plated beer trucks with .50 caliber machine guns on top flying up and down the street spitting out bullets killing men, women, children, and Pabst Blue Ribbon drinkers. Those guys don't care who they kill!

And don't even get me started on how viciously the Jack Daniels Gang protects it's turf from the Wild Turkey Bunch.

If you support this idiotic War On (some) Drugs the blood of those people is on your hands, not mine.
