If you like Romney, you'll love Perry. What is it with mannequins and the GOP?

In what way is Perry like Romney? He hasn't pushed for socialized health care, implemented massive tax increases or attended Planned Parenthood fundraisers.

At least give us some facts about Perry and tell us why you don't think he is a solid conservative.

Thank you, and just an FYI George W Bush was born in Connecticut but I concede that he was a product of Texas so your revised statement is dead on.

We’ve had two Presidents of this nation from Texas.

So what?

The greatest President in the last century came hailed from California. Would that make Arnold Schwarzenegger a good candidate if he were eligible for the Presidency?

...implemented massive tax increases ....

That right there proves you don't know what you are talking about. Property powners where I'm at have experienced a doubling of taxes on their property's to years in a row. The local tax assessor states that it was done on mandate from Austin.

He was also in the pocket of Merck, attempting to force the Giardasil vaccinations on schoolgirls by executive order.

The difference is that as you said, Romney is evil, and his reasons for his unexplained obsession with the presidency, or politics in general is a danger to us all that goes beyond being insufficiently conservative.

3 Presidents from Texas, whether you mean home of, or born in (Eisenhower, or HW Bush).

The facts are everywhere. He loves amnesty for illegals. He is for the North American Union of US, Mexico and Canada (George Soros’ one world govt.). He loves mandates (Gardasil).

From what I’ve been reading there is some form of Romneycare trying to make its way through the Texas legislature. But since he’s just the governor, I don’t know yet whether he’s directly connected to it or not. I do believe that amnesty and mandates are pretty good RINO indicators.

The Texas legislature is the body that controls taxes in that state.

No, he is not a solid conservative. He’s a George Bush conservative with some Romney on the top.

Do not want.

I noticed Rush was pimping him today, giving him a pass on past amnesty support. No thanks.

Not to worry, Texas is not going to have Romneycare. Texas is also suing Obamacare in the Courts.

.

Our likely choices suck thus far.
I am not a huge fan of Perry, but
compared to Romney, Newt, and the rest of jokes running for President he’s a rock star.

Texas has been voted #1 business climate for the last seven years. .
Texas has been getting all of California’s jobs.
Perry must be doing something right.
We need a good business guy right now.
Perry has proved it.

. Perry has Romney’s looks without the other baggage.
Raised on a ranch. Has hair. 6’ tall
Looks presidential- especially after the muzzie

. Sarah Palin threw her endorsement to Rick Perry for governor.

. Pro-life, Pro-guns, pro-spending cuts, pro-business

. He’s an outside-the-Beltway candidate

. Fighting with Obama on many fronts
Google Perry/Obama and you will see he’s been fighting him and his government for the past two years.

. Since Perry has been Governor of Texas, Texas has added more than 850,000 jobs, more than all other states combined. Texas has added over 180,000 jobs since August of 2009.

. There is no such thing as ‘Perrycare’

. According to this web site Texas is #1 this year and last year for business friendly.
http://chiefexecutive.net/best-worst-states-for-business
Obama would not want not run against a governor that has the BEST business climate in the U.S. when everything else is in a depression.

. He used to be a Democrat. So? So did Reagan.

• He refused to raise taxes when Texas faced a record $10 billion budget shortfall in 2003. Instead, he was the first Texas governor since World War II to sign a budget that lowered state spending (and has now done it twice). As governor, Perry has used his line item veto to cut over $3 billion in proposed spending.

• In 2005, Perry signed a historic $15.7 billion property tax cut for homeowners and businesses that also included new taxpayer protections against appraisal increases. In 2009, Gov. Perry secured a tax cut for approximately 40,000 small businesses in Texas and protected the Rainy Day Fund for future challenges.

• He led the battle to pass the country’s most sweeping lawsuit reforms, closing the door on junk lawsuits that had been making trial lawyers rich while driving countless doctors either out of the state or the profession all together. Since Texas voters approved these reforms, malpractice claims and premiums have fallen and access to healthcare is increasing across the state as doctors have applied in droves to practice in Texas.

. He is not a Ivy League grad
The Bush’s don’t like him
He was an Air Force captain who flew a C-130

. Speaks Spainish. (Odumbo says everybody should speak a foreign language, but he CAN’T)
Won governorship of state with lots of latinos

Americans will get it.
Better looking
Better record
Rick Perry for President.

.

I had to chuckle when Rush dropped the word that Perry might run and seemed ok with it. I knew his email would explode with people telling him all of Perry’s sins.

I know, oh how I know, of Perry’s sins. However, I would take him over Romney, Daniels and Newt. Herman Cain or Sarah Palin are a different story.
Ultimately, somebody we nominate will be flawed. I have been developing a pecking order of our flawed choices.

Perry ticked us off mightily and still won re-election as TX governor. The reason is that his opponents were Senator KBH whom we had no reason to replace Perry with, and a lib Democrat masquerading as more conservative than Perry. Ha. In the 2012 election we will be running a nominee against Barack Obama. Perry would be light years, light years better than Obama.

BTW, I’ve been to Paint Creek which is Perry’s birthplace, several times. It’s funny...it’s not a true town but actually an Independent School District in the middle of nowhere farm country.

I, Sarabaracuda, do hereby swear to support the Republican nominee for president no matter who she or he may be.

I urge all Freepers to take this pledge along with me.

And don't forget truther Debra Medina---who wasn't doing badly until Glenn Beck outed her.
