Conventional fossil fuel internal combustion engines also produce water as a combustion product. The ratio of carbon dioxide (CO2) molecules to water (H2O) molecules is about equal. Burning (or otherwise oxidizing) pure hydrogen simply eliminates the carbon dioxide combustion product.

Thereby increasing the greenhouse warming effect of the exhaust (per the theory).
