Senator Lindsey Graham: "Overall, Obama did a really good job."

Posted on 05/19/2011 9:48:33 PM PDT by Minus_The_Bear

Shortly after Obama's speech, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told reporters that he is prepared to go out on a limb for the president to support his plan for investing billions of dollars to spur democracy in the Middle East and North Africa.

“I am willing to take the bruises and stand by Obama to engage countries like Egypt and Tunisia and stay involved in Libya and finish the job in Iraq,” Graham said. “I am willing to take American dollars at a time when we’re flat broke, go back home and suffer the consequences of sending aid to Egypt at a time when South Carolina has 10 percent unemployment because I believe the Egyptian revolution is about a new way of doing business that’s better for us.”

Graham, who has traveled extensively in the Middle East, said he thought Obama made two mistakes in his speech, however. The first was talking about Israeli settlements, and the second was focusing on border issues without addressing the overall complexity of Israel-Palestine negotiations.

“Our friends in Israel are very upset that he only focused on borders,” said the South Carolina Republican. “There are many other aspects of this deal that are being overshadowed.”

But overall, he added, Obama "did a really good job."

I guess Lindsey thinks paying off countries with billions that we don't have is cool...

Especially if he comes out of the closet.

I'd like to see him bet his own pension and leave what's left of our money alone - see how many consequences he's really willing to suffer.

Overall, I don’t pay much attention to politicians from other states (I’m MD), but Lindsey really upsets me. Why in the hell don’t some of the republican senators politely take him out to the woodshed and teach him how to be a republican?

Lindsay, thinking again with his emotions. That is what liberals and men short of testosterone do. Even conservative women like Palin and Bachmann, among many, exhibit the combination of brains and balls that Ms Graham cannot.

Hillary had the combination to Pansey Graham’s loyalty long ago. When the criminal eneterprise party needs a noisy pubby to tote their water, they just remind Pansy what’s in his FBI file that Hillary holds.

WHEN will people learn that the Two party system is really a One party system!?

The Demon-crats started ‘infiltrating’ the Republican party .. Long ago.

True Conservative Republicans are either too stupid or too ‘honorable’ to use this same tactic .. Lie .. act and speak as if you are a leftist, communist, liberal wacko, run as a Demon-crat and do a reverse infiltration!

Fighting “Fair” just wont work with snakes!

I have a few problems with that.

Why did Obama give Ahmadinejad a pass during their uprising, saying "we cannot interfere in the sovereign affairs of other nations"

And Syria is likely to have the Iraqi WMD's, Who stands to get them if Baracks plan goes down?

the idiot in chief has aided ,abetted and overseen, the transfer of power, of more than half dozen middle eastern and north African states, into the hands of radical islamic leadership. He has singlehandely done more to promote legitimacy of radicalized islam than any U.S. leader.
Lindsey Graham's cajones would fit in a thimble. He is a weak kneed, milk toast toady to whomever is at the podium today .I swear, he must be mentally ill. Just today obummer advocated the return of Israel's boarders to pre 1967 lines. With this divergence from longstanding U.S. foreign policy one MUST ask what would motivate this stance. This is ground that muslims forfeited as a result of an unprovoked, and simultaneous, multifront attack on Israel and our President is calling for Israel to just hand it over. You want peace in the middle east. Destroy radical Islam at it's roots. You want to stop the radicalization of America. Support a U.S. constitutional amendment making clear that the sharia is prohibited as a reference for any legal transaction in the courts, legislature or business. ANY act committed as a result of adherence to sharia law is prohibited. force our representatives to view sharia as the illegal legal, finance , and behavioral code that it is . Until idiots like Graham become sophisticated enough to understand that obummer is a threat to our survival along with his EXHIBITED overt support of all thing muslim we are in serious trouble.
