DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A woman convicted of killing her month-old baby daughter in a microwave oven was spared the death penalty and sentenced Friday to life in prison without parole.
Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Mary Wiseman sentenced China Arnold, 31, of Dayton, Ohio, who psychologists testified showed no signs of serious mental illness. Arnold declined to make a statement during her sentencing.

My guess would be that the jury was made up of others the same shade as she was and they didn’t want to kill her. I’d have like to see them sentance her to the microwave instead now I get to pay for her sorry @$$ forever here in Ohio. :( Hopefully some of tthe other inmates will have a problem with what she did and her life from now on will be a living h*ll.
Why would someone think being drunk would be an excuse? IMHO, it makes it worse.

If the sentencing is "for the rest of your natural life", then why are they afforded medical care to prolong said life?

This is a classic case in which the murderer should be publicly executed in a manner that is similar to the pain, duration, and horrific nature of the crime committed.

Remember the film “Star Chamber”? Well there should be a vigilante “Hammurabi Code” organization to abduct convicted perps and kill them in the same manner as they themselves murdered. She should be cooked alive.

Personally, I’d rather die than spend life in prison.
Of course, this does give her some time to repent before she meets the real Judge.
I think I could find a fiver if someone wants to go in with me to send her a millstone.
