Another candidate has entered the Republican presidential field. Former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in his home town of Atlanta, Georgia today. Instead of announcing via social networking websites, Cain, currently a talk radio host, made his announcement at a rally in Centennial Olympic Park.
On his website, Cain writes, "The biggest barrier to solving many of our national problems is lack of leadership."

I was at the rally. It was wondeful to hear the truth spoken so forcefully.
I couldn’t count the times Cain said “God”. It especially touched me when Cain said “God is in charge of this journey.” So true.
As for the crowd size. Thousands of people were there whether it was 10,000, 15,000 or way less is not important. What matters is that everyone left feeling uplifted and with a sense of hope for our country’s future.

The counts will be pretty accurate. The venue was closed and every particpant had to register. I worked the t-shirt tables - they were buzzing the entire time!

What else is pretty awesome is there were even vendors and security people coming to tables for more info after the event :-)

I never try to get yard signs from the local GOP office here in MA. I’m not even sure where it is! I ordered my Fredhead stuff, and then my Palin stuff from online.
There was definitely more than 1.5K at the rally. You can’t see all the crowd from the videos. It was a hot day in Atlanta and a lot of people were standing in the shade away from the cameras.
Never contributed to an individual before but he has my vote and now my contribution.
LOL! He can try, but if Cain is the man I think he is, he’ll tell the empty suit in the white house to stuff it! :)
