I have had Rottweillers and Johnson Bulldogs that weighed 150 pounds and I can promise you that bear weighs more than they did/do

I agree. Males can get up to 600lbs and while skinny, that's not a small bear.

yep...judging by the weeds I would wager that bear is at least average black bear height of 34-36 inches at the whithers

and my bullies were 25 inches at whithers and 150 pounds...it’s not fat like one going into hibernation I agree

but it doesn’t look small stature wise

it’s old hat to folks in typical bear country but around Mississippi it’s not common to see them...I believe there are more than they guess but they live so remote in deep woods and relatively inaccessible cypress swamps
