Not only did Obama make the 57 state statement but my favorite is the Memorial Day address in New Mexico where he said “We are here to honor a long line of fallen heroes, many who I see in the audience ...”

I wasn’t too impressed with Cain on Sunday. I’d vote for him over Obama, but ...

No flames here. I think it’s a horrible time to try to play the first female president game.

Flame away, indeed! As any asinine statement should expect.

Exactly what hurdle do you believe Palin should clear before qualifying as "presidential material," the approbation of the same journalists, panderers, and social engineers that got us here in the first place?

Why?

Look, if we’re gonna allow the MEDIA to nitpick every awkward moment for Republicans instead of pointing out the UTTER INCOMPETENCE and fascism of Hussein, then we’re asking to be slaves to the liberals.

You must have joined FreeRepublic before they dropped the IQ requirements.

Because O is in office, and if it doesn’t fly, we’re screwed. We need to run with someone who has THE best chance of winning. Nobody has a clue how that might go and now is not the time to find out that’s all.

Your statement is incorrect, Israel is not a theocracy (as much as some would like it to be).

Atheists and secularists would like to leverage the “anti-religionism” of the atheistic and secularists in the world against Israel, an effort to lump the good religions in with the bad rather than admit the proven truth that good religion does exist and so does the bad. Just like in every aspect of life, good and evil do exist.

One would have to bend the definition of theocracy to include the United States (a constitution based republic with a strong democratic leaning), if Israel is to qualify as a theocracy (a parliamentary democracy...soon to become constitution based).

If you allow others to define you, then you are forced into defensive mode. If you define yourself, then others have to defend their [mis]characterization of you.

Therefore, do not look at her as the first-woman president yada-yada-yada...Let’s look at her as a staunch conservative who dwells outside the power-elite structure, a structure made up of so-called democrats and so-called republicans, responsible for bringing down the greatest country the world has ever known.

When put that way, Sarah Palin begins to sound like a solution and not a problem, no?

He would make a fine vp for someone, Bachmann should get the nomination. We do not need someone in that office who will be practicing to be president next term. We need someone who can hit the ground running in the right direction and effectively correct the tremendous errors of the past few administrations. That's a big job.

How the hell do you know SHE doesn’t have the best chance of winning.

Are you going to refuse to vote for her if the Saturday Night Live crew doesn’t like her?

Your “reasons” are completely devoid of anything even remotely quantifiable. So I have to ask you...if you were wrong, how could someone convince you of it?

The question is not empty. If you don’t have any real answer for that question, it means even if someone DID prove you wrong, you would still argue against them because you would not recognize you’d been refuted.

I’m all for a female president - one day. Just not this time. Next time is good. Next time is fine. I guess I’m too scared to take that chance right now. I think it is that dire that O is out. I think if he’s not out we are so screwed we’ll never see the light of day again in this country. What if it doesn’t work well? There are still a LOT of people out there who wouldn’t be okay with it just because they don’t think a female should hold office. Do you “really” want to force them to choose between what they think is right (regardless of whether it is or not) and O?

Next time is good....

The idea that some are loathe to embrace a woman president might be understandable, sure. And you suggest that at this given time this may push people...away? Uh...okay??? But what about a second Obama term...how do you think that makes the non-kool-aid drinkers feel? I’m guessing they are feeling a bit wee-wee’d up right about now for having pulled the lever (some of them) the last time.

To be sure, the case has to be made clearly. And we cannot allow anyone (be it the MSM, the beltway folks...anyone) frame the argument. Palin is conservatism. Conservatism is the only answer to our country’s extreme problems. Period. That needs to be the message. It needs to be clear, unapologetic, unrestrained, unambiguous.

And the ignorant media (imagine Joe Scarborough being up on the Jewish right to return!) follows along with these losers.

You probably won't see any reply to your salient observation here because atheists cannot give a coherent account of the notions of good and evil in the first place.

Cordially

Good call — identifying “the toasters” as you say.

This was a bump in the road. Not great, but not one single vote will change on this issue. Cain has very clear goals for why he’s running, and micro managing the Middle East has never been one of them.

Are you trying to tell us an electorate in which women outnumber men can not elect a woman?

Is the sky falling, too?
