I'll supply the answer:
Under Islam, ANYTHING other than total surrender to Allah is a declaration of war. NOTHING other than submission will be acceptable to these guys.
A rule of negotiation: when the total of what you're willing to give is not going to make the other side satisfied, there is no point in giving them ANYTHING.
