Hamas and Fatah were united in their reactions to Netanyahus speech in Congress, while Israeli reactions, with few exceptions, fell along party lines.
Saeb Erekat, a senior member of the Ramallah-Based Palestinian Authority and the senior negotiator during the period of talks with Israel, accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of distorting history. The Israeli leader told Congress that all of Judea and Samaria, including parts he would be willing to surrender for a true peace, are part of the ancient Jewish homeland.
He also said that Israels ancient ties to the land do not allow for charges that Jews are occupying Judea and Samaria.
In a recent speech by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, published and translated by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), he claimed that Palestinian history dates back 9,000 years, making Palestinians "the owners of history."
After Prime Minister Netanyahus speech, which was warmly received by Congress, Abbas spokesman Nabil Abu Rudaineh reiterated the PAs opposition to Israels demand for a military presence along the Jordan Valley and a de-militarized Palestinian Authority.
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri stated that the speech to American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) this week by the Zionist Benjamin Netanyahu
makes the continuation of negotiations with the Zionist entity is wrong and pointless."

When you are getting flack you are over the target.
Big N got a direct hit and didn’t pull any punches.
I just happened to catch most of the speech live and I got goosebumps. I knew to my core I was watching history being made!
Hamas and Fatah being united, proves that Obama can be a uniter.

Of course- Bibi knew this. He can afford to make “bold offers” knowing they will reject it. HOWEVER, it does damage Israels historical right to Judea and Samaria when Bibi is willing to put them on the table.

I get where you’re going but (IMO) since one cannot give what one does not ‘own’, I think it actually reinforces that right... The right to do what one wills with one’s own ‘property’.
(Note that I don’t want to make this sound like a simple land sale)
...and Bibi dah MAN to them: Bring It!

>”” Hamas and Fatah Unified against Netanyahu’s Speech’’< Whew!! For a moment I wasn’t sure. Well alls right with the “Religion of Peace’’ crowd. If they had supported Bibi’s speech I’d have been real worried.
Any so called “Palastinians” were Bedouins. They held no land. Just drifted areound and took what they could. They didn’t develope the land like the Jews did and make it better. Scum suckers were as prevelant back then as they are now....
