I am deeply honored by your warm welcome. And I am deeply honored that you have given me the opportunity to address Congress a second time. Mr. Vice President, do you remember the time we were the new kids in town? And I do see a lot of old friends here. And I do see a lot of new friends of Israel here. Democrats and Republicans alike.
Israel has no better friend than America. And America has no better friend than Israel. We stand together to defend democracy. We stand together to advance peace. We stand together to fight terrorism. Congratulations America, Congratulations, Mr. President. You got bin Laden. Good riddance.
In an unstable Middle East, Israel is the one anchor of stability. In a region of shifting alliances, Israel is Americas unwavering ally. Israel has always been pro-American. Israel will always be pro-American.
My friends, you dont need to do nation building in Israel. Were already built. You dont need to export democracy to Israel. Weve already got it. You dont need to send American troops to defend Israel. We defend ourselves. Youve been very generous in giving us tools to do the job of defending Israel on our own. Thank you all, and thank you President Obama, for your steadfast commitment to Israels security. I know economic times are tough. I deeply appreciate this.

Chinese Firm Aiding Irans Chemical Weapons Program
A newly disclosed cable sent by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reveals that a Chinese company is transferring equipment and technology to a secret plant in Iran that is part of the Islamic Republics chemical weapons program.
The cable, dated July 24, 2009, is a WikiLeaks document obtained by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. It shows that Clinton instructed the U.S. Embassy in Beijing to take action against the Chinese firm, Zibo Chemet.
China is party to an agreement forbidding sales of vital equipment for chemical weapons programs.
The cable reads in part: We have new information indicating that Zibo Chemet transferred technology for the production of glass-lined reactor equipment to Iranian customers, significantly enhancing Irans ability to produce indigenously chemical equipment suitable for a chemical warfare program.
Glass-lined reactor vessels are resistant to the chemicals they contain. The glass lining prevents raw materials used to produce weapons such as nerve gas from eating away at the containers inner surface and evaporating, Haaretz explained.
Clintons cable asked the embassy to pass information about the transfer to the Chinese government and demand that it take action to halt the sales.
It also disclosed that the United States blacklisted Zibo Chemet in April 2007 over suspicions that it supplied similar equipment to North Korea and Syria as well as Iran.
Clintons cable shows that as the international community anxiously follows the progress of Irans nuclear program, Haaretz observes, Iran continues to develop conventional and unconventional weapons, including chemical ones.
You may be encouraged by Bibi.
In our post-speech analysis, we did seem to miss the humor.
Very Reagan-esque. The bit about “an America outside the beltway” was GREAT (and he may be the only foreign Head of State to know that!)

Thanks for posting the speech. This is leadership!
He is on Hannity tonight at 9.
Maybe the GOP can nominate Netanyahu in 2012. Benjamin is as eligible as the druggie in our White House and a whole lot more loyal to America and to freedom.
When the ragheads come to cut their throats and rape their women and convert their children they will protest "Why didn't anyone warn us about this?"
Why does Iran need missile platforms in Venezuela? What’s Obiwan doing about that?
Bibi spanked Obama and he deserved it.....now for getting rid of the punk in chief.
I was watching on France 24 network and in prior commentary to the speech, it was mentioned that Netanyahu was educated in the U.S. and lived near Philadelphia. How coincident is that? He lived in the birthplace of American freedom and attended school there....
He returned to the U.S. for further education at MIT AND Harvard after time spent in Israel as a captain in the IDF.
He is ours (almost) as much as Israel’s!!
Nice to you La Enchiladita
He’s more “ours” than 0 is. 0 doesn’t want us anyway.
You got bin Laden. Good riddance... you don't need to do nation building in Israel. We're already built. You don't need to export democracy to Israel. We've already got it. You don't need to send American troops to defend Israel. We defend ourselves. You've been very generous in giving us tools to do the job of defending Israel on our own. Thank you all, and thank you President Obama, for your steadfast commitment to Israel's security. I know economic times are tough. I deeply appreciate this. And thanks most of all for blowing town ahead of my gig here today. :')
Of the 300 million Arabs in the Middle East and North Africa, only Israel's Arab citizens enjoy real democratic rights. I want you to stop for a second and think about that. Of those 300 million Arabs, less than one-half of one-percent are truly free, and they're all citizens of Israel.
This startling fact reveals a basic truth: Israel is not what is wrong about the Middle East. Israel is what is right about the Middle East.
I wish I could find a video of the whole speech. I’d like to see him delivering it....
That will solve our existing deadly problem in the Oval Office as of January 20, 2013.
Then we will make Isreal the Fifty-First State. That will solve their problem with Palestine.
Thank you so much—I just watched the entire speech—and loved it. Prime Minister Netanyahu is a very remarkable man......
How nice you are, ELS.
Basil, I only saw your post now.
I should have said I found the links at HotAir.
I’m glad you viewed the speech.
Netanyahu has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard... in addition to the righteous content!!
Rush summed it up today, I think, when he said what made Mr. Netanyahua (sp?) such a great speaker is that he speaks with passion. .
