Strauss-Kahn lured the then 21-year-old trainee journalist to the property under the promise of an interview, and then started to rip her clothes off, it is claimed.
‘I kicked him, I called him a rapist, he didn’t seem to care,’ said Ms Banon in earlier interviews, in which she also described Strauss-Kahn as acting like a ‘rutting chimpanzee’.
Ms Banon’s mother, Anne Mansouret, said the only reason she did not press charges at the time was because 'she was just starting out in journalism' and was afraid of being 'defined by the story' of being attacked by a senior politician.
Mrs Mansouret has now confirmed that her daughter is making a report to Paris police, and may hold a press conference about an ordeal which left her 'traumatised'

Actually, this charge is more likely FAKE.
This is his second wife’s daughter and second wife seeking a measure of revenge on the man now that it is politically safe to do so.
Currently he is on his third wife:
“He has been married to his third wife, French journalist Anne Sinclair, since 1991.”
So we have an alleged attack occurring in 2002 but not reported til 2011.
We have no location for the attack.
We have no DNA evidence from the attack. Shoot, the complaint does not even indicate that he raped her, just that he ‘attempted it’. So there would probably be no DNA evidence in this new claim.
Any physical evidence is long since destroyed because they waited 9 years to make a complaint. Any potential witnesses are long since gone.
We just have the word of the daughter and the ex-wife that such an attack took place. People who very probably have a grudge against this man.
So other than making for sensational press and further vilifying this man in the press, this ‘charge’ is not going anywhere.
It is highly likely to be a FALSE claim made for personal retribution.
It must have scarred her for life, for her to dress in chicken wire.
It doesn’t sound like he used the same MO.
Now why was the maid in his hotel room while he was ‘in the bathroom’?
The claim is: “She alleged that after exiting his bathroom naked he attempted to forcibly have intercourse with her, to submit to anal sex and to perform oral sex”
In every hotel that I have been to, the maids don’t come into the room while the customers are still there.

Cause there have been a ton of cases of naughty school teachers having their way with their 12 year old charges.
When I was a field sales rep. calling on various corporations and companies, it was telling that the "hits" all came from larger company executives. They do so because so many woman do indeed "sleep their way to the top".
My experiences have always been that of standing , shaking hands and thanking them for the meeting..but since their "minds" are otherwise occupied I would call and re-set the appointment...stating this I was going to the door to make my exit.
The key thing for woman is once the conversation moves to anything outside business you're there for... you are responsible to bring it back to business...not entertain the clients loss of focus. Far to woman enjoy this type of engagement as it flatters their egos....But if they persist you politily but matter of factly begin your departure. This can be done in a professional matter...and successfully. Most men get the drift.
However the higher in power men get it does seem many do see themselves as entitled to the woman they might want, and many woman who are willing to acccomodate them...and it doesn't matter who the woman is because it isn't about her...it's about satsifying an appetite powerful men do not want to control.
