RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Federal prosecutors have completed a wide-ranging investigation into John Edwards' political dealings and could indict the two-time presidential candidate within days, a person familiar with the matter said Wednesday.

Edwards could still strike a plea deal to avoid an indictment, said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the case's sensitivity.

It has become apparent to me (I guess I’m slow, not to realize sooner) that the Democrat Party does not merely represent people of a different social/economic/political theory. No, it is the party of misfits. Every major member of that Party has some serious mental defects. I first thought Michael Savage had coined a clever phrase, but consider what he said: “Liberalism is a mental disorder”. Any totalitarian regime is led by mental misfits. Normal people would not want any part of it.

Well, the word ‘platypus’ is not in the article, but I would venture a guess that you were referring to the word ‘democrat’, which is also not included.

Should we all start emailing the AP ‘innocently’ inquiring as to Mr. Edwards’ party affiliation? But no, the sarcasm would probably be too subtle for the AP to recognize.

He definitely deserves it but it points out just how bad our system is. As is the case with all Dems, the MSM protects him, promotes him and ignores any evidence that there is a problem until it is so obvious and he has completely discredited himself. Then they pile on when it doesn’t matter anymore. Just think—this guy came very, very close to being vice president. Its more damning evidence that the MSM runs defense for the Dems until the Dems self destruct. Very dangerous for the republic.

Normal people would not want any part of it.

If no "normal people" voted for them, they'd never win an election.

And my libtard wife thought he’d be a great president...

LOL. She must be an amazing woman in order for you to overlook her libtardness.

I'm fortunate that my wife is of like mind politically.

That Rielle gal is turning into one of the most expensive lays in history.

Arnold's squeeze might give her a run for the money. Or, collectively, Tigers' stable.

“Hard to believe that this guy was a serious, viable candidate for POTUS a mere 3 years ago. What a fall.

Couldn’t happen to a slimier guy.”

And my libtard wife thought he’d be a great president...”

It is a really sad state of affairs we are in, but I really believe he would be a better President than Obama. Not that it is saying much about either man’s character.
