Reid Statement On Inappropriate Coercion By Vitter
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid ^ | May 25, 2011 | U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

Posted on 05/25/2011 4:02:21 PM PDT by mdittmar

Washington, D.C.Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement on Republican Sen. David Vitter inappropriately pressuring Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to approve offshore drilling permits:

“I have worked with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on this issue for weeks and it is wrong for Sen. Vitter to try to get something in return for moving forward on a matter that the Senate has considered routine for more than a century.

“Ken Salazar is extremely well-qualified, hard-working cabinet secretary, and deserves better than to be strong armed while trying to do an important job for the American people.”

Come 2013, I want this jackal to be in the minority. Let’s make it so.

Don’t argue, don’t try to explain, don’t point out the hypocrisy, just simply say “Piss off Harry”.

Does anyone know the exact date when “totally hypocritical scumbag” was added as a requirement for membership in the Democratic party? I assume it was probably some time before Mr Reid’s entry in politics, but I was curious about the exact year.

Boy! There’s a wealth of information in those short paragraphs, isn’t there? What the heck is he talking about?

“Get something in return?” Isn’t that what the Senate considers routine?

But this worm never won the election. It was stolen, starting from when the early voting commenced. The voting machines were tampered with by the SEIU. There were numerous reports of casting votes for Sharron Angle and the cast ballot indicating a vote for Reid. The exit polls on election day had Reid losing.

We need a Republican-controlled Justice Department not headed by some PC-sensitive, get-along-with-the-enemy wimp so this and other of Reid’s affairs can be thoroughly investigated and Reid can be finally sent to the prison cell he so richly deserves.

You know that Vitter is doing something very, very right if Reid is whining like this.

Keep the pressure on, Vitter.

Every waking moment Ken Salazar is working to take money out of every American’s pocket by forcing us to buy expensive greenie energy instead of abundant cheap energy, so it's only fitting that we take money out of his pocket.

Well done Senator David Vitter!

Just ask Obama, if Interior Secretary Ken Salazar buys a Chevy Volt and keeps the tires at proper inflation and keeps it well “tuned-up” he'll save that money in no time.

Wrong. Ken Salazar is a stalinist shock-trooper who wants the oil and gas industry dead and their executives heads on pikes at the gate of the city.

As one of Senator Vitter's constituents, I have to say I was disappointed over his *indiscretions* a few years back, but he is dead on about a whole lot of other things.

I'll call his office tomorrow and tell his staff to ensure he keeps doing whatever he did to piss Harry off.

Harry Reid is a multi millionaire due to sleazy land deals in Nevada. The LA Times ran a series on them. All his sons are lawyers

Ken Salazar is not smart enough to be a “stalinist shock-trooper”. No intelligence there, none. Another beneficiary of affirmative action.
