Washington, D.C.Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement on Republican Sen. David Vitter inappropriately pressuring Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to approve offshore drilling permits:
I have worked with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on this issue for weeks and it is wrong for Sen. Vitter to try to get something in return for moving forward on a matter that the Senate has considered routine for more than a century.
Ken Salazar is extremely well-qualified, hard-working cabinet secretary, and deserves better than to be strong armed while trying to do an important job for the American people.
The irony is palpable...
The of us who are sensible will never forgive Nevadans for sticking us with this worm. He is taking up oxygen that a diseased rat could use.
thats rich. him crying like a sissy over something like that
Come 2013, I want this jackal to be in the minority. Let’s make it so.
Don’t argue, don’t try to explain, don’t point out the hypocrisy, just simply say “Piss off Harry”.
I’d like to see him as Searchlight’s dogcatcher.
Does anyone know the exact date when “totally hypocritical scumbag” was added as a requirement for membership in the Democratic party? I assume it was probably some time before Mr Reid’s entry in politics, but I was curious about the exact year.
Harry who do the people that lost their whole check because of Kenny.
“”it is wrong for Sen. Vitter to try to get something in return for moving forward on a matter that the Senate has considered routine for more than a century.””
Boy! There’s a wealth of information in those short paragraphs, isn’t there? What the heck is he talking about?
“Get something in return?” Isn’t that what the Senate considers routine?
FR’s clock is off again....it’s 7:42 here ET
...it is wrong for Sen. Vitter to try to get something in return for moving forward on a matter that the Senate has considered routine for more than a century.
But this worm never won the election. It was stolen, starting from when the early voting commenced. The voting machines were tampered with by the SEIU. There were numerous reports of casting votes for Sharron Angle and the cast ballot indicating a vote for Reid. The exit polls on election day had Reid losing.
We need a Republican-controlled Justice Department not headed by some PC-sensitive, get-along-with-the-enemy wimp so this and other of Reid’s affairs can be thoroughly investigated and Reid can be finally sent to the prison cell he so richly deserves.
Pay to play is the Chicago way! Seems like the guy is just being honest; dude take the bribe and pump more oil, whatever it takes to get you to do the job, whats 20k when Americans are hurting?
You know that Vitter is doing something very, very right if Reid is whining like this.
Keep the pressure on, Vitter.
Well done Senator David Vitter!
You better get used to being strong armed because come 2012 your ass will in the minority and this abomination called an administration will be made to do things you thought would never happen to save our country
Wrong. Ken Salazar is a stalinist shock-trooper who wants the oil and gas industry dead and their executives heads on pikes at the gate of the city.
