Can someone add this to the prayer list for the little soul of Skyular and his greiving family? My wife and I have a 9 month old and this news has just ruined our night.

The remains of Skyular Logsdon, a 16-month-old who disappeared during the tornado Sunday in Joplin, were identified at a morgue there on Wednesday evening, a family member said.
The search for Skyular, who was ripped from his mother’s arms by the storm, attracted national attention.
The little boy’s great-uncle made the identification, said Rhonda Brewer, the stepmother of the child’s uncle. Skyular’s father was recently released from the hospital, and his mother is still being treated.

My MIL and SIL lost their homes in Joplin, but their lives were spared. They were fortunate. But we lost many friends in that hellstorm.
Prayers up for that poor little boy and those who loved him.

A parent’s nightmare: being unable to hold on and protect one’s little one. I pray the mother has a good support system around her. I can’t imagine the depths of her grief.
Oh no. Bless this little boy. Mom and Dad will need prayers. Such a tragedy for so many people.

Heartbreaking. Poor little guy must have been terrified, and I can’t even imagine what his family must be going through, especially his mom.

EOC in Joplin refuses to say....they are still working on the 1,500 number. Quote from incident commander, “A VAST, VAST number of these 1,500 are alive and well, but have either not informed other relatives of their safety or made contact with the EOC to confirm their status”.
The last number I heard this afternoon was 1500.That’s just staggering...
I’ve got a grandson that age, it brings tears to my eyes. Rest in peace little one, may you be by Jesus’s side.
The figure of 1500 is used but no way there are that many deceased. Physically impossible. Most homes searched by now. Perhaps a few bodies could be missed, but not 1500. I suspect more will be found at Home Depot. Other businesses as well.

I read somewhere that babies, children are swept up to heaven right away by the Angels of heaven during death and are in the arms of Jesus, they don’t know anything terrible happened to them...
The pain are for the loved ones left behind...

I love that song, though it does make me cry.
It was sung at the funeral of the 10-year-old daughter of friends of ours. They changed the first verse to be “Ten years is too little...”
Praying for this family tonight that they feel the arms of Jesus around them. That they be held. :*^(

The stories are heartbreaking.....and we will hear many more, sad to say.
My brother-in-law is a Sheriff and EMT from Southeast Kansas. He was called to Joplin when they first got word of the devastation in Joplin. He felt his first job was to reach his mother when he got to Joplin. Even with sirens and red lights, it took him until 11:30 that night to reach her home and evacuate her. I was on the phone with him off and on all that night. I asked him if the reports about 89 fatalities was accurate....His response?.....I saw that many bodies just on the way to Mom’s house.
He is still in Joplin working on search and recovery. Mr. RR flew down there Monday morning to help his mother. At least we found her another place to live, at least for a time.
Please keep all the people in your prayers.

Prayers for Skyular, his family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. May God look over his parents and lead them in healing from a loss no parent should ever have to endure.
1500 was yesterdays number, at presser tonight they said about 750. And as others have mentioned, they may be with friends or family, it only means someone is looking for them.
Prayers for this little one and his grieving family. I was really hoping and wishing for a miracle. I cannot even imagine the grief they must be experiencing. It is one of those Posts that you read and you feel your heart sink. I pray that it was a very quick death and he went to the Lord immediately.
