Anne Sinclair's millions keeping accused rapist husband Dominique Strauss-Kahn out of jail
New York Daily News ^ | LUKAS I. ALPERT

Posted on 05/25/2011 11:49:32 PM PDT by Cincinna

The income of Dominique Strauss-Kahn pales in comparison to wife Anne Sinclair's family fortune. Dominique Strauss-Kahn better hope his long-suffering, third wife stands by her man as it's her fortune bankrolling his freedom. The former International Monetary Fund chief is out on a $6 million bail package but only on the condition he pony up for a $200,000-a-month security detail to monitor his every move. That would amount to another $2.4million a year. But the 62-year-old Parisian pol - who was widely expected to become France's next president - is estimated to only be worth $2 million on his own. So despite a $500,000-a-year job setting global economic policy, Strauss-Kahn's life at large is primarily financed by his wife Anne Sinclair's massive family fortune. Built off her grandfather's business repping artistic titans like Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Georges Braque, she's worth an estimated $1 billion. Sinclair, 62, has stood strong in the face of allegations of her husband's serial infidelity in the past - he is known as the "Great Seducer" and the "Hot Rabbit." Her reaction to his May 14 arrest for allegedly trying to rape a hotel chambermaid was no different. She quickly flew to New York to bail him out.  Sinclair's steadfastness has left many scratching their heads.

When Sinclair and Strauss-Kahn married in 1991 it was her second time down the aisle and his third. He was a junior minister at the time, and she was one of France's most famous television journalists - the country's equivalent of Barbara Walters. As her husband's political career skyrocketed, Sinclair chose to step down from her TV job so as not to create a conflict of interest.

Isn’t there a story (rumor) about old man Kennedy (Ole Joe) bringing along Gloria Swanson on some trans-Atlantic trip when he brought Rose and the kids? There’s really little new under the sun (well, except using public employees, I guess).

The story has been reported in many places. Old man Kennedy was a pig with women and a Hitler supporter to boot. That is why FDR recalled him as Ambassador to Britain.
He set a fine example for his sons, JFK, RFK, and Tubby who followed in his footsteps.

“And stupid. If you think that because a man has money, he wouldn’t rape a maid, you have a real problem.”
My goodness, ad hominem attacks because I think the maid’s story sounds convoluted.Just because a man has money, does that automatically make him capable of heinous acts? Why didn’t she scream? Did he have a knife to her throat? Perhaps an ice bucket? If this man “forced” a hotel housekeeper to engage in a sex act with him by his sheer will then he truly is a sinister human being. Has he done this before? Or was there something in the air?

Let's not forget---DSK was married when he met Sinclair---and divorced so he could marry her.

Strauss-Kahn's alleged womanising appears to have been an open secret in French political circles for years. Thierry Saussez, a former adviser to French Pres Sarkozy, said: "All this stupefaction from people is sheer hypocrisy. Everyone in Paris has known for years he had something of a problem. Not many female journalists are prepared to interview him alone these days."

In 2009, the radio satirist Stephane Guillon dedicated his morning comedy slot on France Inter to Strauss-Kahn's "obsession with females". Some commentators suggested his behaviour was a reflection of French culture. In 2000 French writers Vincent Giret and Véronique Le Billon wrote almost presciently in their biography of him: "There is only one thing this famous man has avoided … a fall from grace."

======================================

France’s hardcore left is not happy with their boy Strauss-Kahn. DSK is a multi-millionaire who lives in a €4mn Paris penthouse with a €140,000 Porsche parked outside. He is known for wearing suits costing £22,000 (which he denies).

Strauss-Kahn is lambasted by leftists as a champagne Socialist and establishment fat cat.

France’s sullen anti-business, anti-globalisation left must decide whether it wants ideological purity or a candidate who can beat Sarkozy – who, of course is praying every night that DSK won’t run.

NOTE Dominique Strauss-Kahn was born on 25 April 1949 in the wealthy Paris suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine. He is the son of Gilbert Strauss-Kahn, a legal and tax advisor and member of the Grand Orient de France (a powerful Masonic group), and Russian/Tunisian journalist Jacqueline Fellus. His family is of mixed Sephardic and Ashkenazic Jewish origin.

DSK PARODY We have all been IMF’d!
DOMINIQUE, DOMINIQUE
Bravo for concentrating as much on the IMF as his sex scandal. He used them both for the same purpose.

Sue...you need to stop asking questioned and do your homework to get even some idea of what took place. Also a little info on how the justice system works. The guy's been charged...witnesses before the grand jury before he was charged...that sort of thing...and the prodigal the victim went thru was followed carefully when reported thru several levels of management...not to mention thru the police investigation. The fact is the victim's story stood all the tests of continuity and consistency people need to move forward.

Further...this occurred in the victim's workplace which caters to the elite. Specific instruction is given employees on how to handle “difficult” guests. The victim followed these exactly right.

Get informed..then you won't have to question yourself.

I'm not convinced his wife will be in this for the long haul....I think she'll bail out over time. She's definitely playing the “Hillary” stand by your man card for now.

But more importantly she'll stay in this long enough to get her own ducks in a row without raising suspicion she is doing just that. She will protect her own wealth and assets...that takes time to position favorable for her...and protects them from him.

Her sticking by him is probably a factor of whether the daughter is theirs or just hers or just his. Kids make a huge difference.

How old is the daughter? Seems to me she’s not a child and could well do on her own if not already, regardless of the parents slitting up at a later date. Especially since both have been married before, so this would not be new to the daughter.

No idea how old the daughter is .. pretty sure she’s an adult. As I recall, it was claimed he had lunch with her the day of the crime. Still, a LOT of couples stay together even after their last kid has left the home. Of course, this is not your typical couple in any way. And they certainly are not the ‘little people.’

it was claimed he had lunch with her the day of the crime.

That claim is highly suspect by the authorities as untrue. Though the family may attempt to use this early in the investigation, as they have done, in order to use the courts time later and gain some leverage over the evidence which is so compelling that he did the dead. Last I knew the defense is going to say it was consensual...thus agreeing it happened but blaming the victim...Old story used over ages...some things never change!

my fav defense “trial balloon” was saying the victim was “too ugly” for this pillar of the community to so much as bother with, much less assault. That one didn’t last long, either.

LoL...yes, you’d think they’d come up withsomething that isn’t worn out like an old shoe...but then those are comfortable and there is always comfort in the familiar...it buys them time to drag this out.

“nique” is a French slang word for intercourse. So when they sing “Dominique, nique, nique” it has more of a bite in French than it seems to have in English... It is not just a rhyme....

Thank Monkeyshines for pointing out that the “nique nique” in the video Parody “Dominque” ppsted above is a French slang term for the sex act which is what makes it even more hilarious.

Anne Sinclair is the 3rd wife of DSK. They have no children. the daughter, the youngest of three, is 25, and his from a previous marriage.

Thanks! Well, one would assume that HIS daughter will stand by his side no matter what. If there are no children involved, and Mz Sinclair now won’t get to be First Lady of France, what’s her incentive?

Anne Sinclair is a French Socialist elitist. They are all part of “generation ‘68”, the same generation that gave us hippies, 60’s radicals, Bill Ayers and finally, his acolyte, Barack Obams.
In an interview in 2007 AS answered a question about her husband’s reputation. Her response: “..to be a politician you have to be a seducer”
These people don’t have the same moral compass as we do. They are Atheists who believe there is no higher moral authority than themselves. There are no moral absolutes; in that world of moral relativism, if it feels good, do it!
As the French would say, “pauvre con”!
