As he watched the eyeless face with the jaw moving rapidly up and down, Winston had a curious feeling that this was not a real human being but some kind of dummy. It was not the man's brain that was speaking, it was his larynx. The stuff that was coming out of him consisted of words, but it was not speech in the true sense: it was a noise uttered in unconsciousness, like the quacking of a duck...

A Francis Urquhart type answer: “You might think that, I’m afraid I couldn’t possibly comment.”

good reminder about his tax evasion.
and you are correct, even his lack of integrity, pales beside his stupidity. ...to give an answer like that, is unbelievable in a person who is smart enough to run the treasury of the richest nation on earth...
...oh, sorry... the most indebted nation on earth.

Can this spineless wimp give a straight answer ABOUT ANYTHING?Of course not. If he did, he would not be where he is at this point in time...

Good Grief. I interpreted this as him saying,”Don’t ask me — anything I say will result in my having my head chopped off. Ask a woman ‘cause they are expendable. I need to keep my cushy, big buck job. Nobody will believe a woman, and she doesn’t need to keep her high priced job anyway.”
What an arse!

I swear, I clicked on this post because I was expecting a good laugh from a satire piece.
Given that it’s real, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I think I’ll go with both.

We arent really dealing with mental giants in this administration. We must at least take a pause after recognizing that and thank God because these people cant even figure out how to get half the crap they want implemented - as they themselves are the reason for most of their own failure.
Thank you Lord they are so inept and stupid they themselves thwart much of what they want to do.
And here I was thinking they were actually SUCCEEDING in destroying my country piece by piece. Thanks, I feel so much better now.

your both correct.
they are succeeding in destroying the country.
but as he said, it would be even worse, if not for their stupidity. (remember Hillary and the “reset” button?)
their incompetence sometimes delays their Marxist plans.
...not much, for it’s a crumb to be grateful for.
(and the comic entertainment is free, which is good if you are one of the millions who are unemployed because of them.)

I was simply saying I am grateful that they have not gotten so much more of what they have tried to do, done.
I am not celebrating anything they have done.
I am also grateful God is opening more and more people’s eyes to see these people clearly and understand what they are really doing to the country.

Okay, I agree with you there, certainly. But when you're being carpet-bombed, it's small comfort to know that most of the bombs will miss.
And carpet-bombing is exactly what these folks have been doing to America. They've launched so many different attacks on so many different fronts that we've been simply overwhelmed. Geithner's nonsensical statement won't slow their assault one whit. Why should it? A tax cheat can be head the Treasury Dept. in America, for crying out loud. Nobody would predict that he'll be fired for what he said here.
When the people have been as overloaded as we have during this administration, things that might otherwise cause a stir or a scandal are widely ignored. This is blitzkrieg political warfare, and the American populace is unable to mount a defense.

What a complete m o r o n. ANYONE should be able to tell if a woman or a man is being hounded by someone in a flirtatious or sexual manner. It has nothing to do with being ‘deep’, there is nothing ‘deep’ about being preyed upon. If he can not recognize harassment if he sees it, then something is seriously wrong with this man. Incredible lack of integrity to not only turn his head, but then to lie about it. Well, did we really expect more from him? Bird of a feather, right? I can’t wait for 2012 so we vote in a new administration.
‘So his answer seems to be: “yeah, I saw it, but I just couldn’t fathom it, so I didn’t really know what it was. Because I’m a man and women are, like, deep and stuff. So you should ask a woman.”’
