Charlie Sheen is selling his Beverly Hills home for $7.2 million
by Olivia Allin
Charlie Sheen's Beverly Hills home, which the troubled actor nicknamed "Sober Valley Lodge" was put on the market on Thursday for $7.2 million.
The Mediterranean-style custom-built home was built in 1992 and has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three fireplaces, a swimming pool and a hot tub. Sheen bought the property in 1997 for $2.5 million. See photos of the property here. The home is in a gated community called Mulholland Estates.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sheen purchased a home nine houses away from the property for just under $7 million.
Sheen, 45, has been keeping busy with his live "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option" and his "goddess" girlfriends.
Charlie Sheen and his estranged wife Brooke Mueller's divorce was finalized on May 2. According to the divorce papers, Mueller was granted $55,000 in child support, a lump sum of $757,698.70, a 2009 Mercedes and $1.2 million for her share of the couple's Beverly Hills home, which Sheen is now selling. The two will share joint custody of their 2-year-old twins Max and Bob.
Sheen was married to actress Denise Richards, mother of daughters Sam and Lola, between 2002 and 2006. The actor was also married to model Donna Peele from 1995 to 1996. They have no children together.
Sheen was fired from the network's No. 1 comedy earlier this year after ranting about the show's co-creator Chuck Lorre on the air and following a rehab stint for alcohol and drug abuse. Producers said the actors had "been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill."
Former "That 70's Show" actor Ashton Kutcher was hired to replace Sheen on "Two and a Half Men" earlier this month. The Wall Street Journal said Kutcher would be paid about $1 million an episode and that a new role had been created for him.
Winning!!
Sheen’s role only worked because his personality worked great with John Cryer. I just cannot see the same chemistry with Kutcher.
Since I don’t watch TV, I can’t comment. Perhaps the writers/producer will have the Sheen character die of a drug overdose.
YUCK!! Not enough bleech or Purell in the world to clean that place.....
The driveway aims at a canyon. He dumped 2 mercedes into it already. I would move too.
$55,000? A month? I know he's made a lot of money But it's absurd that anybody should be entitled to fabulous riches simply for sharing a child with somebody of means. It doesn't take $55,000 a month to raise a kid, or even 100 kids.
Only one hot tub??

So basically if he gets 7.2 million for his current home. He basically gets his new home for free....not bad.
Kutcher would be paid about $1 million an episode and that a new role had been created for him.
Wow. He might be the highest paid actor in comedy. Alec Baldwin might get more for 30 Rock but not sure.
If he sells it for nearly 3 times what he paid for it, he will be.
His pal Alex Jones should buy it and turn it into a kook central commune.
It's not news until you can report someone is buying Charlie Sheen's Beverly Hills home for $7.2 million.
