Dem senators want to warn states against targeting Planned Parenthood

Thirty Democratic senators sent a letter to the Obama administration on Thursday, urging them to warn Medicaid directors at the state level that it's against the law to block Medicaid funds or Title X family planning funds from going to clinics that provide abortion services, like Planned Parenthood.

The letter comes in response to Indiana's new law, which took effect May 10, barring state agencies from entering contracts with or giving grants to entities (besides hospitals) that perform abortions.

Republican lawmakers in virtually every state this year have pushed legislation to restrict abortion rights, as have Republicans at the federal level, but the new Indiana law represents the boldest state-based challenge to Planned Parenthood yet. Now other states are now following Indiana's lead, USA Today reports. Bills to cut funding to Planned Parenthood recently saw action in Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, Kansas and North Carolina.

The 30 senators wrote to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius that excluding clinics like Planned Parenthood from Medicaid violates rules saying the federal funds must go to "any willing provider" that is qualified, as well as Medicaid's "equal access" requirement. They point out that 48 percent of Planned Parenthood' patients are Medicaid patients, and 60 percent of women who use health care clinics like Planned Parenthood say they are their main health care providers.

But other laws can be written to correct the first law - eh? (RATS do it all the time.)

Well, if the Dem senators want to warn states against targeting Planned Parenthood, then why don’t they go ahead and do it? What is holding them back from issuing their warning? Or maybe this is just another poorly written headline.

Planned Parenthood is a health-care provider?

Who knew?

(Stop funding them! No matter what they say they’re doing with the money, it’s almost certain it’s used for abortions, with very little actually being used to provide health-care.)

Parents [of (30) Dem senators who want to warn states against targeting Planned Parenthood] wish they had abortions 40 years ago at Planned Parenthood.

Money is fungible.

Any organization that receives public money is thereby enabled to free up money from other sources for purposes banned by the terms of the public grant.

Eeny meeny mino mo---which laws will PP deign to recognize today.

PARTIAL HISTORY OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD'S RAMPANT GOVERNMENT FRAUD

<><> The US Inspector General found that NJ Planned Parenthood falsified Medicaid claims to get their hands on $2.9 million they were not entitled to.

<><> Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest will pay the state $345,000 after settling a 2009 audit that uncovered the clinic used incorrect codes and provided insufficient documentation for some claims billed to Medicaid.

<><> It is estimated that the Spokane PP family-planning organization improperly billed Medicaid more than $629,000 for 333 patient procedures from March 2004 through February 2007. During that time, the clinic collected about $7.6 million from Medicaid.

<><> Planned Parenthood California is under criminal investigation for billing taxpayers high prices for birth control equipment that they obtained on the cheap.

<><> The Picower Foundation, one of PP's biggest financiers, was in cahoots with Ponzi thief Bernie Madoff, and was forced to give back $9B that was apparently part of a money-laundering tax evasion deal that got Picower an unlikely 900% return on investment.

<><> PP is also suspected of aiding and abetting underage sex abuse, and suspected of participating in cover-ups----performing abortions on underage teens who were impregnated by older males, and failing to notify authorities. PP clinicians apparently covered up sexual abuse of underage teens by falsifying federal documents in order to receive federal funds for performing underage abortions. That would be classified as govt fraud.

<><> Planned Parenthood Kansas ignored 164 Cases of Child Rape according to former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline.

<><> Now that the govt gravy train is slowing down PParethood is falsely claiming women need its mammograms (as a calculated way to remain on the government dole).

Planned Parenthood is a billion dollar business that rakes in 1/3 of its budget from state and federal govt grants. Congressional Dems interrogated banking, energy, health insurance, tobacco, and oil execs — treating them like serial killers. When will Dems finally vote to defund a corrupt industry that has the blood of innocent, defenseless babies on its hands?

Omao is the most radically pro-abortion President in US history. Despite his flowery words, all of his actions serve to radically increase abortions in America......and around the world. Once in office the Omao bloodbath commenced:

<><> He has officially approved the first instance of taxpayer funded abortions under O'Care---his enforced government-run health care program. This is the kind of abortion funding the pro-life movement warned about when Congress considered the bill.

<><> The Obama Administration will give Pennsylvania $160 million to set up a new “high-risk” insurance program under a provision of the federal health care legislation enacted in March. It has quietly approved a plan submitted by an appointee of pro-abortion Governor Edward Rendell under which the new program will cover any abortion that is legal in Pennsylvania.

<><> The high-risk pool program is one of the new programs created by the sweeping health care legislation, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, President Obama signed into law on March 23. The law authorizes $5 billion in federal funds for the program, which will cover as many as 400,000 people when it is implemented nationwide.

<><> “Obama's $160 million in federal funds to PA, will pay for insurance plans that cover any legal abortion,” said Douglas Johnson, legislative director for the National RtL Committee. “This is just the first proof of the phoniness of President Obama’s assurances that federal funds would not subsidize abortion — but it will not be the last.”

<><> One of Obama’s first legislative achievements was to include a provision, within the 2009-2010 military budget, prosecuting "pastors who preach hatred." CASE IN POINT Let’s say your pastor preaches on Romans 1st chapter which denounces homosexuality. Someone happens to walk in during the sermon. Then he/she commits a crime against someone who happens to be a homosexual. Not only is the bad guy prosecuted, but the preacher can be prosecuted as well.

<><> Obama got help from Pelosi and Reid for this verbiage.....the first time any president signed such a provision. ACTION PROJECT Ask your pastor if he is aware of this provision, and if, in fact, he would vote for someone willing to send him to jail.

<><> Empowered by Obama, the ACLU Demands NY Investigate Catholic Hospitals Refusing “Life-saving” Abortions........

<><> Obama DOJ nominee Dawn Johnsen saw a great danger to liberty in laws enacted to protect babies in the womb...... it was OK to make such laws to protect the interests of the woman carrying unborn child -- or to protect whatever interest the baby may have retroactively in its fetal existence if it is ever born alive -- but it was not OK to make such laws in the interest of the unborn child itself.

<> <> Obama characterizes late-term abortionist Dr. Tiller (who was murdered) as a hero and martyr. Dr. Tiller is a bloody, gruesome killer of fully-formed babies (60,000 abortions by his own admission).......who were alive when aborted, who could FEEL THE PAIN of being literally ripped from their mothers' wombs.

<><> A federal probe was requested by three high ranking lawmakers with congressional oversight responsibilities into whether the Obama Administration broke federal laws by promoting a proposed constitution that radically changes abortion policy in Kenya.

<><> Dec 23, 2010---- Louisville, KY --- The Obama administration filed a lawsuit against a pro-life protester b/c he was given community service for a minor charge associated with efforts to help women find abortion alternatives. In Jan, David Hamilton was counseling women going into the EMW Women’s Surgical Center, the only abortion business in Louisville, Kentucky. Hamitlon was arrested for moving the arm of a clinic escort out of his way as he attempted to present alternatives information to one woman going to the entrance.” More at LifeNews.com

What Obama and Michelle Believe re: Aborted Babies Born Alive
FR POSTED http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2253212/posts?page=6

In February 2004, US Senate candidate Barack Obama's wife, Michelle, sent a fund-raising letter with the "alarming news" that "right-wing politicians" had passed a law (prohibiting doctors from stabbing half-born babies in the neck with scissors, suctioning out their brains and crushing their skulls). Michelle Obama called partial-birth abortion "a legitimate medical procedure. " She urged supporters to pay $150 to attend a fund-raising luncheon for her husband, who she promised would fight against "cynical ploy[s]" to stop it.

BACKGROUND Legislation was presented on the federal level and in various states called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. It stated all live-born babies were guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection, whether or not they were wanted. BAIPA sailed through the U.S. Senate by unanimous vote. Even Sens. Clinton, Kennedy and Kerry agreed a mother's right to "choose" stopped at her baby's delivery. The bill also passed overwhelmingly in the House. NARAL went neutral on it. Abortion enthusiasts publicly agreed that fighting BAIPA would appear extreme. President Bush signed BAIPA into law in 2002.

But in Illinois, the state version of BAIPA repeatedly failed, thanks in large part to then-state Sen. Barack Obama. Obama worried aloud that legislation protecting live aborted babies might infringe on women's rights or abortionists' rights.

In 2003, as chairman of the next Senate committee to which BAIPA was sent, Obama stopped it from even getting a hearing, shelving it to die much like babies were still being shelved to die in Illinois hospitals and abortion clinics.

BAIPA passed in 2005.........AFTER Obama left the Illinois Senate.

According to the articles tons of Medicare patients are "served" by PP. So that means OUR tax money. PP is a foully evil entity that profits off mass slaughter of the unborn, as well as other nasty practices. The real solution is to strip the fedgov of all it does that is not mandated in the Constitution. This will get rid of many evils, they will wither on the vine. But the thugs in DC won't do it. What does this mean? It means that the entire fedgov edifice will have to crash and burn by the laws of nature when it just cannot fund itself any more.

In the meantime, more and more Americans are becoming pro-life! And the Dems are skeered because some states are fighting back - fighting for the helpless unborn! YES!

I mean, so the Democrats “warn” the States not to defund Planned Parenthood. But Indiana already has. And MORE will, if we get half a chance. so — WHAT?!

What’s Washington, DC going to do about it? Cut off all Federal Funds to our States? Call out Troops and have our Governor and State Legislators arrested? Have troops stationed around Planned Parenthood abortuaries to assure that they continue running? Nationalize State Treasuries and seize State funds to force transfer of funds to Planned Parenthood?

Granted, The bunch in the White House are capable of that — and many in Congress. But many of them also know if they DID, it would hit the fan BIG TIME, and they would be in SO deep they couldn’t get themselves out with their own fortunes — and perhaps not with their freedom or their very life’s breathe. Not sure many of them are THAT crazy - YET.

If abortions aren’t funded by the state, only idiots will have babies. If abortions are outlawed, only med-school dropouts will perform abortions? If abortions aren’t funded by the state, lots more outlaws will be there to have outlawed guns? Eef abortions aren’t mandatory, ze inferior races, zey vill continue to breed. (trying to paraphrase 2nd Amendment slogan to sound pro-abortion; doesn’t work).

Why do dems believe it is so important for the government to fund killing babies?

It's because the Dems are all about absolute power.

They try to sell women on this idea that they can be as irresponsible as they want, and if they get pregnant, it's completely legal to get rid of that inconvenient baby. The baby doesn't contribute anything to society; it's a drain on resources; therefore, from a utilitarian standpoint, there is nothing wrong with killing it.

By accepting the premise that the only value of people is the amount of labor they can provide to "society," these "pro-choice" women tacitly accept the premise that they, too, can be just as easily terminated when they make the transition from being producers to being burdens on society.

While the Democrats will make a lot of noise about "freedom" and "rights" in their support for abortion, they truly support neither.
