Being a Palin apologist is risky business. There is always the chance, I suppose, that Sarah will do something that legitimizes the perpetual moonbattery that oozes from the cracks of whats left of popular culture in America. (By the way, is Larry Flynt still a liberal icon after his recent attack on that right-wing nut Trig Palin?)
The liberal blogosphere pretends that conventional wisdom has established beyond doubt that Sarah Palin is a moron. But from their stunted battlement ignorant misfires occur on a daily basis. How smart do you have to be to avoid mentioning a Down Syndrome affected child? Wonkette, et al, while straining mightily to impune Sarahs smarts, cant seem to figure out what most people get without thinking: Attacking handicapped children seldom wins hearts and minds.

Born February 11, 1964 in Sandpoint, ID (Meets the Jus Soli Requirement)
Parents were
Charles R Heath, born in ID
Sarah Sheeran, born in WI
Both parents were US Citizens at the time of her birth (Meets the Jus Sanguinis Requirement)
Sarah Palin is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN unlike Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama.
Attacking handicapped children seldom wins hearts and minds.
It works for most libs if it is the child of someone who is a threat to their lies and exposes liberalism/progressivism/communism, etc. for what it is.
Good read, thanks.
Appreciate that, thanks.
America will never regain its greatness until we hear a great collective, “What were we thinking!?” from the left. I am not holding my breath.
First it was the “Minnesota twang”, then she needs to “study the issues”, then it was “wait until 2016”, then this then that.
Sheesh!!!! Some folks are never happy.
Actually I disagree. Her affectations are genuine, and in sea of polished talking heads it’s refreshing that a real person has stepped forward, warts and all. If she sounded like a lawyer, she would lose me, and I am guessing many others.
Agreed. Policy wonks need not apply here. I don’t need to know how a pol wants to spend Dept. of Education money, I need to know how they plan to eliminate it. RINOs epitomize this big goverment conservatism, and when we forget we are treated to yet another election sans choices.
Try listening to her when she slows down (as occasionally she does) and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I agree. I love beautiful Sarah, but I wish she would stop with the corny phrases like, ‘you betcha’, and ‘golly gee’’
She needs to make her speaking voice more professional and refined.
Superb article. Thank you for linking it.
For Socialists. The only cure for the dysfunction and misery caused by Socialism is ...Communism.
I think she is perfect the way she is: REAL.
How she talks is part of what makes her who she is: Sarah.
Like write down a current date three years off from the actual year. Or say that there are 57 states in the USA. Or bring a teleprompter to visit a 6th grade classroom.
If the MSM approached Barky the way they do Palin, the common perception of the man on the street would be that Barky was the absolute stupidest fool to ever find his way to Washington.
Attacking handicapped children seldom wins hearts and minds, and writing stuff like “(r)elinquishing the governorship of Alaska was a masterstroke” seldom wins the hearts and minds of conservative readers.
And then there’s Niall Stanage’s piece on “The Hill”:
Sarah Palin has once again taken center stage and delighted her supporters with the announcement that she will begin a high-profile bus tour in Washington on Sunday.
The tour has an obvious and presumably intentional resemblance to a campaign jaunt. But many people on both sides of the political divide remain skeptical that she will run, or that she has a viable path to the Republican presidential nomination if she does so.
Then again, placing bets on Palins plans has always been a fast way to lose money.
Asked to give his gut feeling about whether Palin will enter the 2012 race, Republican strategist Dan Judy responded: My gut feeling is that it is impossible to have a gut feeling about Sarah Palin. Since 2008, she has not done anything that a potential candidate would do. But then again: Shes Sarah Palin. http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-presidential-primary/163799-few-would-place-bets-on-whether-palin-is-running-for-president
