As an Iowan, I hope the mission is successful. Unfortunately Iowa launched the election of the POS currently in the White House. Now let's correct that mistake by launching the Christie presidency.

Waste of time. Christie has made it abundantly clear that he has no intent of running for president.

As a New Jerseyan I’m going to tell you Iowans to run like the Devils chasing you from this fat loud-mouth because despite the propaganda Christie hasn’t done SQUAT here in NJ. My property taes ahve gone up, the unions are still killing us here, this fat a-hole is not going to opt out of ObamaCare and this is a man who in his capacity as a US Attorney said “Illegal aliens haven’t committed any crimes’’.

Typo, sorry, meant to say ‘’my property taxes have gone up’’.

“The reason Christie has such appeal is the Iowa Republicans are hungry for an alpha politician who will go out and make battle.”

In other words a male...

Obviously the New Jersey Redistricting Committee is a joke. The tie-breaking vote was a “professor”.

Political guru Doug Gross of Des Moines dismissed Tuesday’s trip as a “fool’s errand.” “He’s not going to run,” he said.

Gross, however, is among Iowans yearning for a fresh face in the race. He visited with advisers to Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels to stress that there was interest in Iowa and a path to do well, if he got in. Daniels later ruled out running, and Gross remains uncommitted to any candidate.

For those not familiar with the Iowa GOP, that is Polk County cabal code for "Anybody but Palin, Cain and Bachmann... or any other candidate that isn't a member of the good old boys' club."

Not only no, but HELL NO!!!

You and others may pine for another RINO, but most of us true Cons have had it with these phony, wannabe, pretend, Compassionate Conservatives (2 Booshes was enough, thank you) and that includes Gingrich, Paw-Lenty, Rudy, Hunstman, Huck-a-bee and Mittens.

We have alpha candidates who have been saying more than Christie and Trump but the media wants us to vote for a loser. The appeal of Trump WAS his in-your-face attitude about key issues, issues the media and the political consultants (the bane of conservatives) have advised against discussing.

Palin has been strong from the git-go. She was the first to come out against “career politicians”, meaning the Republican Party establishment. She has run as much against the RP as she has the Democrats. She has not been easy on Obama either. She has it all but the Democrats/media and Republican Party are against her.

Herman Cain is certainly no shrinking violet. He tells it like it is.

I could easily live with any of the real and potential Republican candidates over Obama. Romney is at the bottom of the list but he is better than any Democrat, just as McCain would have been better than Obama.

Oh yeah, remember that Iowa keeps electing Tom Harkin so we shouldn’t put too much store in what they say or do. Once again, it is the media who tout how important the first three primaries (Iowa, NJ, SC) are. Because of the media, the donors who are simply contributing to the possible winners start pouring cash to the early winners. Quite often someone who drops out could have won had they stayed the course. Fred Thompson is one. Everybody blamed him for getting in too late but this time every candidate has waited until late to declare or to start campaigning. The media killed Thompson with repeated rumors of his dropping out until they accomplished it. They dried up the money.

This is just outreach by the ethanol lobby. Christie is probably the perfect Big Govt liberal for them.

Rastetter especially is front man for crimnal AJ “Brother Jack” Decoster as well as being an ethanol scammer.

“Waste of time. Christie has made it abundantly clear that he has no intent of running for president.”

You are very correct.

However — I’m thinking that Gov. Christie just might be “persuaded” to accept nomination for the VICE-presidential slot if the ball is tossed his way.

I understand that many here don’t care for him. In response, I would proffer that, if not in words or beliefs, but in ACTIONS and ACCOMPLISHMENTS, he is arguably one of the most “conservative” governors out there today. Sometimes actions speak more loudly than do words.

He would serve as an excellent “balance” on the ticket, perhaps even bringing the state of New Jersey to our side (admittedly, a difficult task). And northeastern Republicans/independents who might be uneasy with Palin might just swallow the Palin pill with Christie there to ease it down.

He would also make a great “attack dog” in the vein of Sprio Agnew before him. Christie seems unfazed when fighting with the ‘rats, media, or whatever. We need someone with his combative instincts. The number two slot is the right place for this.

Just my opinion. I realize yours may be different.

Good. Christie may be conservative in NJ but not in GA. He’s soft on immigration, gun grabber and I was not pleased at his attitude about the mosque in NY. He is doing a good job in NJ. Stay there.

What, does he favor ethanol and farm subsidies for the Iowa socialists?

Kinda like our governor here in Michigan. A thousand percent better than the democrats but a real mixed bag otherwise.
