So you got to play as part of the party, you got to play as part of the team. She's not a team player. I don't think people are going to think she's qualified.

Sure she's a team player, Dave, it's just that you're not on it. And that is the sort of "people" who are going to declare her unqualified.

Brooks is, in fact, quite incorrect. Palin has risked her appeal to her base by making an overt approach to such dinosaurs as the McCain wing of the party, a thing met with howling on FR on a frequent basis. What Brooks resents is that none of those approaches are coming his elitist, East Coast media boardroom way. He'd better get used to it.

“I divide people into people who talk like us and who don’t talk like us,” he explains. “Of recent presidents, Clinton could sort of talk like us, but Obama is definitely—you could see him as a New Republic writer. He can do the jurisprudence, he can do the political philosophy, and he can do the politics. I think he’s more talented than anyone in my lifetime. I mean, he is pretty dazzling when he walks into a room.”

Resigning the governorship to neuter the threat of ruinous legal costs - and not incidentally, free herself up for the national scene - strikes me as the brilliant and courageous handling of ‘a crisis’. The mark of great generals is that they know when and how to retreat.

I wonder if he’s just saying that nonsense simply to exercise his jaws or whether he really believes what he’s saying. Why would anybody think that Palin is beholden to the GOP? After the election of ‘10, who can genuinely believe that the GOP represents Republicans much less conservatives?

DAVID BROOKS: Does Anyone Think Sarah Palin Can Handle A Crisis? White House Isn't American Idol

Listen, Brooks, you dare say "handle a crisis?" Like the ME crisis of 0b0z0's own creation?

Sarah's maid, if she has one, can run the WH better than 0h0m0llah who turned it into a BathHouse, which I'm sure you're comfortable with! Do you visit as often as the union heterosexuals do?

His latest European “experience” proved that the POTUS POUTS! I think I’m going to use “POUTS” as a truthful substitute for “POTUS”

0h0m0 is an experienced h0m0sexual, NOT even mentioning that s/he/it is a zer0-experienced illegal POTUS!

Oops! That will get us into the “new of same original” document; therefore, double dipping, no pun intended!

Yeah, Brooks, keep defending the Communist regime and the ALL anti-American president.

I don’t recall any of these elites asking the same things about 0bama in 2008. I suppose they all thought since he was well spoken(with his teleprompter) that he was imminently qualified to handle any situation....

These people make me sick!

"She's not a team player. I don't think people are going to think she's qualified."

She's a team player. As a responsible, hard-working American, I have no doubt that she is on my team. If the NH GOP is not on the American team too (and I have serious doubts about them), I'm not going to blame (future) President Palin for their failings.

Does David 'I-Like-To-Flatulate-Out-of-My-Mouth' Brooks, have an axe to grind against Palin????...

David Brooks and Chris “a tingle up and down my leg” Matthews share the same sexual persuasion. Obama really “turns them on”.

We have a President right now that can’t handle every day things, much less a crisis. He is rapidly turning our allies against us and embracing our foes. The dims don’t seem to be concerned that he is not only not up to the task- he surrounds himself with idiots of the highest order. This country and in particular our leadership is becoming the joke of the world. For the dims to seem worried that any other candidate may not be up for a crisis is laughable. No one can know if anyone is up for a real crisis until they face one but I would put my money on Sarah to be able to do what needed to be done before the joker we have now could even decide if he was going to act. I would also trust her to do what is right for this country above all else- which sadly we cannot say that now.

As far as Sarah Palin not being a team player with the GOP, to me that is strongly in her favor. The GOP has had years and the support of the people to get this country on a conservative path and they keep pushing RINO bozos out front and center for us to vote for. The GOP is not getting the message so we need candidates to forge their own path. I am tired of voting for the lesser of two evils it would be nice to have a candidate I truly want to vote FOR. The last person I really supported for President was Reagan and the GOP sure didn’t want him until his momentum had already caught fire and they had no choice but to get behind him.

“Yeah. But, you know, being president is waking up, somebody hands you the crisis and said, “There’s a crisis in Venezuela. What are you going to do about it?” Does any, does anybody think Sarah Palin’s ready for that?”

You mean handle it like Barry does? Sleep on it for 16 hours then try to abort the decision?

The woman has five children and she isn’t capable of handling a crisis? It seems to me she has already handled at least two, a disabled child and an unplanned grandchild. The woman has five children but she cannot be trusted with nuclear weapons?

The “Sarah is stupid” or “unsuitable” or “insert insult here” mantra is ALL these people have. They are terrified.

Sarah is having a ball yanking a wedgie into every libtard who bites (don’t they all BITE?). Does anyone out there have one good reason why they think she’s seriously after this job with all she’s got on her plate?

They call David Brooks a conservative.
He is Canadian and Jewish. (*in _no way_ am i anti-Jewish. However, i am cognizant of that groups demonstrated voting record) He is a New York times columnist who favors gay marriage and abortion. He shows every sign of being gay. On global warming he said;
“I totally accept the scientific authorities who say that global warming is real and that it is manmade.”

So a gay canadian harvard jew who loves abortion, gay marriage, believes in global warming and writes for the NYT. THAT is the conservative we are reacting to today.
Freaking amazing,,,

If that’s conservative, then heaven only knows what you need to do to be accepted as a liberal.
