Oh, then you want to retract your assertion that they stayed on the plantation willingly?

"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." You might read the paragraph preceding the one where this famous quote appears.

Do you want to retract your assertion that black slaves stayed on their owner's plantations willingly - YES or NO?

We’re not talkin’ ‘bout the “Mass of men” - we’re talkin’ ‘bout the ones who were brought here [unwillingly] and kept[unwillingly] in chains, COMRADE.

You get that ticket for Sudan yet?

Thoreau Pfffft.

Timmy McVeigh liked to quote that kinda crap too. What’s next, Invictus - you and your Flash Mob posse gonna “dance” whilst blowing up a Federal office building or two?

Listen, Pal. Willingly is your word not mine. You may not think that African slaves were a part of the mass of men, but I always have.

Keep reading those airline schedules. Thoreau, de Tocqueville, probably Aristotle too, all cr@p to you. What an embarrassment to FreeRepublic you are!

Goes with your idiocy.

When’s the next “dance” at your local Klan rally, comrade?

So, how does your Newspeak dictionary (2011 edition) differentiate "willingly" from "of their own free will" - hmmm?

Tell us - those folks being sold in Sudan - are they being turned into property "of their own free will"?

Hey A$$hat!

Those were your words I was quoting back to you! To be sure, I did agree with the premise but with this qualifier, "albeit sometimes with the fear of what would happen to them if they were caught." In other words, for sort of the same reason merchants collect sales tax.

If quiet dancing provokes the Park Police, they need to be disbanded. Are you aware of any citizen complaints received?

Breaking the law generally provokes a law enforcement response.

If you and your Code Pink comrades don’t like the legal framework of this Republic, then pack up your shyte and move to someplace like Somalia where you can dance to whatever tune the local tribal warlord (flash) Mobster calls.

" it appears the first police force, such as it was, was formed in New Orleans in 1809."
--ml/nj  Historical Suuuper Genius.

Tell us, Wiley - who was enforcing the Law and filling Walnut Street Jail, circa 1776?
"Walnut Street Jail, named after the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania street on which it was located, was the first prison built in the United States to use individual cells and work details.

In 1776, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a new jail was opened to receive the overcrowded prisoners of High Street Jail. It was located on Walnut Street, where it acquired the name Walnut Street Jail."

Quack, waddle...
"In 1789 the US Marshals Service was established, followed by other federal services such as the US Parks Police (1791)[19] and US Mint Police (1792).[20] The first city police services were established in Philadelphia in 1751"

Game, set, match.

FAIL again, Comrade Idiot.
